A 'decent' heavyweight is David Haye. If Lewis is a 'decent' Heavyweight. What is Alexander Povetkin? A nobody bum?

Also nobody ever calls Lewis the 'GOAT'. But to place him outside the top 10 is pathetic as well.

Just because Lewis ended the careers of guys like Golota/Grant/Ruddock didn't mean those weren't high touted fighters.

Lewis was a 50/50 against both Ruddock and Golota, which meant that public perception viewed those fights as legit toss ups. Lewis destroyed them. You can't go re write history and say they weren't great wins when at the time they were viewed as great challenges.
I think everyones definition of "great" is just different. "great" to me is reserved to the very select few

Oh ya..........Fair enough. I guess you could say Ali is great and Lewis/Wlad are very good.

Harder, faster puncher and he throws far more straight shots to the target were Lewis would throw more hooks and uppercuts. He moves better too as Lewis' pseudonym is Lummox for a reason. I think Klit will land first and Lewis will wake up with a doctor waving a flashlight in his face.
Not a fight of great significance.
lennox didn't have a soft chin. those 2 knockout losses were the only times hed been down and he faced many a big puncher plus he walked into punches he obviously didn't see coming. if there's a negative about him its that he didn't recover very well when he was hurt but he had a descent chin. I think he took a better punch than wlad but I do agree that wlad was faster and hit a bit harder which is why its a toss up for me. to not rank either guy in the top 20 is a bit laughable. for craps and giggles please give me your top 20?

David Haye isn't a decent HW in terms of resume. Who did he beat? A 40yr old Barrett (gatekeeper), 40yr old Ruiz, 40 yr old Audley (Domestic level), Valuev - (worst HW world champion ever and he arguably lost that fight) was easily beaten by an almost 50yr old Holyfield and Chagaev. Chisora - Euro level at best never beaten anybody ranked I don't believe.

Povetkin is a decent HW by todays standards. Would he be a factor in other eras? Probably not no.

They was highly touted but like many other 'hypejobs' they went on to do nothing.

Its like how Lacy was supposed to murder Calzaghe now he (Joe) don't get no credit. I don't think bookies odds or how certain media defined a rather unknown, unproven/untested fighter at the time should carry into the future and add so much credibility. Bookmakers, media are wrong all the time. People are wrong all the time.
Many fighters look top prospects until they step up.

To me Golota, Ruddock, Grant and so on are guys who lost everytime they stepped up. Good enough for most part but not world beaters. Lewis has many, many better wins. Those do nothing for ranking him higher. Akinwande is another. He was probably near evens because he was undefeated and big but he'd never beaten anyone before or after and was struggling with fighters nowhere near world level like James Thunder.

Too bad Lewis didn't fight Wlad after he called him out at the Derrick Jefferson fight. Two whole years with a world title, waiting patiently by the phone for Lennox to call. Crickets.

Getting iced by one punch doesn't mean you have a glass jaw. Wlad is an all-time great but lewis fought much better competition & his resume is way better. Wlad never even fought the best of his era. Lewis stopped vitali klitschko in his last fight. He got beat twice by 2 HW champions. Rahman & mccall were top 10 HWs in the world. He got hit twice because he didn't take either seriously. Wlad had a shot at lennox all lined up if he beat sanders & he couldn't do it. That is how rahman got his shot. After the great fight with sanders & he got off the floor twice to do it...lewis is higher in my all-time great rankings but both are top 10... I think lennox beats him 10 out of 10 times. He was as big, can box & slug.i don't where you get he had a glass chin. You are entitled to your opinion. I own all their fights & think lennox is superior. Ray mercer said right after his loss to wlad that lennox hit harder & he was 41 years old so wlad can take whatever he wants from the fight. He lost soon after. Both top 10 in my opinion. Wlad hasn't faced anybody as big & skilled like lewis. Lennox beat his brother at 38...

I think a better poll question would be:

Was this the year where Wlad knocked Lummox out of the top 10 all time HW?

I think 2014 was that year.

for beating leapai & Pulev? Lennox beat mike tyson & vitali klitschko his last 2 fights. Sure tyson was not in his peak anymore but he was still younger then lennox...
