I lean towards Wladimir but if they fought 10 times it could well be 5 a piece. I lean towards Wladimir because hes sharper, quicker hands and feet and the better puncher.
Lewis was a decent HW but IMO he is massively overrated today.

Even looking at his resume its just names. I know you can pick apart any fighters resume but his really isn't that great when you look at it in depth. When you look past the names its all hypejobs who never became ****, drug addicts or shot legends.

It seems if you're Lewis fan you always have to mention how he defeated every fighter he faced but should one of the very best ever heavyweights really need two tries to do it in their prime?

People talk as if he was a ferocious monster, anybody who has seen a little more than a few fights or highlight reels knows he was just as boring and safety first as Wladimir.

Underrated when active, very overrated now.
He was a good HW, one of the first top super heavyweights but when people talk as if hes this monster, this head-to-head God its crazy. There are many, many heavyweights who would beat him and many lesser fighters who could potentially take him out. He wouldn't beat Holmes, Ali, Big George, PRIME Holyfield to name a few

I think most of his career was brilliant matchmaking, catching guys at the right time. Hes a very good heavyweight but to say he is 'arguably the best ever' I strongly disagree with. I don't think its arguable at all. Hes a good top 10-12 and that is where it should end. I think people look back at times and see what they want to see.

I don't think the GOAT HW gets one punch K.Od by Rahman AND McCall and gets comprehensively outboxed by Ray Mercer and Bruno (until the K.O)
He struggled with way too many fringe contenders and guys that wasn't really world beaters at his peak for me to have him right up there.

50:50 for me.. Lennox is great but a bit overrated, Wlad is great but a bit underrated..
True is somewhere in the middle.

It would be interesting how this poll will look in 2020..

Now, I am expecting 70:30 for LL and usual posts about WK from usual posters. Out before that happens..

glad to see an unbiased wlad fan agree with me. im always surprised to see polls so lopsided in Lewis's favor. he was a very good if not great fighter but wlad was as big ,,,strong and even a bit quicker than lennox and has a much heavier left hand than lennox had. not to say lennox wouldn't have caught wlad and got him out of there but I could just as easily see it happening the other way. both big men with skill

Neither guy crack my top 20 alltime tbh. Both had soft chins and overrated resumes. As it is if they fought I think Klit KOs Lewis. Harder, faster puncher and he throws far more straight shots to the target were Lewis would throw more hooks and uppercuts. He moves better too as Lewis' pseudonym is Lummox for a reason. I think Klit will land first and Lewis will wake up with a doctor waving a flashlight in his face.
Not a fight of great significance.

Both Wlad and Lennox are great fighters. Not 'very good' fighters. To label either as 'very good' is absurd and an insult.

Rid**** Bowe was a 'very good' fighter at his peak. Lewis was sensational.
As was Wlad. As was Tyson. As was Ali. There is a clear gap between
              'very good' and 'great'.

Lewis was tailor made for Vitali since Lewis can't outbox him nor knock him out, plus Lewis fades after the 8th round, while Vitali ' power carries into the later rounds of the fight.
Lewis have a 96% win round ratio from rounds 8-12. How is that 'fading' rofl.

You went from saying he's a 'decent' HW to a top 10/12 heavyweight.

A 'decent' heavyweight is David Haye. If Lewis is a 'decent' Heavyweight. What is Alexander Povetkin? A nobody bum?

Also nobody ever calls Lewis the 'GOAT'. But to place him outside the top 10 is pathetic as well.

Just because Lewis ended the careers of guys like Golota/Grant/Ruddock didn't mean those weren't high touted fighters.

Lewis was a 50/50 against both Ruddock and Golota, which meant that public perception viewed those fights as legit toss ups. Lewis destroyed them. You can't go re write history and say they weren't great wins when at the time they were viewed as great challenges.
