Seems they've made more headway with the Canelo bout. But I think it boils down to what's more lucrative to Miguel. A-side of the Canelo fight or B side of Mayweather.

floyd started at 130, beating cotto for the legit lineal WBC title at 160 means everything to his legacy. once again and do try and read this..if floyd defeated cotto at 160 for the middleweight title that would make him lineal in 5 weight classes with 6 wbc titles. that is what i call a legacy. no fighter in the modern era of boxing has done it before.

nobody ever questioned Floyd's legacy. becoming lineal champion doesn't mean nothing when you beat inferior fighters too win those titles. Floyd was favored in every one of those fights in those 5 weight classes. and whats your point about Floyd starting at 160. cotto started at 140. neither guy is a middleweight. and winning your lineal in the 6 weight class against a guy you already beat. that's real impressive.

I don't mind seeing Cotto and Floyd fight at all. Floyd hasn't looked too hot -- I suspect it could be even more competitive this time around.

As far as bogus title, most of them are. Sucks. We see every fight like that coming...months in advance since that's when fights are announced. So I don't think that's an issue. If you didn't stop watching when Manny fought for a catchweight title against a Margarito who hadn't accomplished anything at that weight...we'll get over this one. At least Cotto beat the man and, more important, it's actually a competitive matchup.

i wouldn't be unhappy with cotto-mayweather ii and golovkin-canelo. sucks that the lineage is lost, but this way we are guaranteed at least one good fight (whereas golovkin-cotto would quite predictably just be a sickening beatdown)

yes your memory is very foggy brother. canelo's fight was on regular showtime and chavez jr's fight was on ppv. 2 boxing ppv's in the same night has never been done and it wont ever be done.

Thanks for confirming that. I think it's ****** to put a ppv on a night where there is a quasi free show on another network. Free or ppv a lot would opt for the free methinks. Two ppvs does seem even bumber but does not seem out of bounds for some if the silly things we've seen as of late a la sho contract with may at 32 mil a fight. I too however don't think it will happen

I saw another of ur posts about no one wanting to see may v cotto 2. You should google that. Quit a few articles talking about that fight over the years since their first. I certainly want to see it. However. I certainly want to see pac v may 2015 would be an uber year is may fights cotto in may and pac in sept or vise versa. Perfect way to end contract and shut everyone about being scared.
