I like Canelo... But Floyd earned those spots by beating the ppv king in ODH. Now anyone can fight on those dates. But if Floyd and Pac fight with a rematch in September then Canelo could be ****ed. GBP and Canelo are just trying to beat Floyd anyway they can at this point.

With that said, Canelo doesn't have the star power to take those dates. He can't even pull more than 400,000 ppvs by himself. He has to be matched up extremely well for it to happen. A fight with Cotto is a given. other than that?

Boxing fans are so dumb. They still don't realize that casuals run ppv. The only thing casuals know about Cotto-Canelo is that they got owned by Floyd and Pac who are still by far the 2 biggest stars in the sport. Cotto-Canelo is a hardcore fans dream.

To casuals its just a runners up, 2nd rated matchup which is why both guys just had huge fights that couldn't do 400k. Floyd may fight Pac but it has nothing to do with them. Pac/Mosley did not do 1.3 million. That is the ridiculous number that Arum claimed. No stats were ever released by HBO. I doubt that fight broke 700,000 PPVs.

floyd just did 770k on a mexican holiday. pac/bradley 2 did 800k in april so obviously he won't.

Don't know why Floyd fans are crying about a date. If mayweather was the true "PPV king" he should fight on any date and do big numbers. Why piggy back on Hispanics if his fan base is so strong? Manny doing 800,000 buys is more impressive than what mayweather is doing.
