october 2015According to this article it says it will end in December

If so then it is definitely possible (I think you confused him with Ward)
Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, is furious with some of the statements that were made by Billy Keane, manager of former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., in an earlier article on BoxingScene.com. Earlier today, Keane reached out to BoxingScene to respond to an earlier interview with Arum. For several weeks, Arum and his company were attempting to finalize a July HBO Pay-Per-View event, where WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin would have faced Chavez at the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds. The main sticking point, which caused the fight to fall through, was a clause in the bout agreement which extended Chavez's contractual obligation to Top Rank.
in other words chavez will never be on floyds undercards...Comment

julio cesar chavez jr By Dan Ambrose: Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is reportedly in discussions with the high powered adviser Al Haymon, according to Dan Rafael. Chavez Jr. is reported to have been offered $47 million to sign with Haymon, according to es-us.deportes.yaoo.com. Chavez Jr. still has 9 months left on his existing contract with Top Rank, however, and that***8217;s a lot of time left to set up the fight that could send Chavez Jr. to Haymon in stitches against Gennady Golovkin.
If Chavez Jr. gets destroyed by Golovkin, as many people expect him to, then it hardly matters if he bolts from Top Rank. Haymon would have a fighter who was beaten to a pulp by Golovkin, and who will soon be unable to make the 168lb division. If the $47 million offer is true, then Haymon could be stuck with a fighter who would have to be carefully matched if he was to value out of him.
Chavez Jr. would be out of his element in facing top light heavyweights like Adonis Stevenson and Bernard Hopkins. In signing up with Haymon, Chavez Jr. would likely have his fights televised on Showtime rather than HBO. This means he wouldn***8217;t have to worry about fighting WBO champion Sergey Kovalev, who would likely dismantle Chavez Jr. even worse than Golovkin will.
Dan Rafael said this on his chat today about Chavez Jr:
***8220;If Chavez winds up with Haymon, who he is talking to, there isn***8217;t going to be a GGG fight. However, from what I understand, Chavez still has about 9 months left on his Top Rank contract, which means one more fight. When Arum returns from overseas next week, he and Chavez are supposed to meet. I still think that at the end of the day he and Chavez work things out and he winds up doing the GGG fight.***8221;
Chavez Jr. is going to have to fight somebody in the remaining fight that he has on his Top Rank contract, and it might as well be Golovkin. Chavez Jr. needs to take that fight while he can still make 168, because in a very short time, Chavez Jr. will be lucky if he can even make 175. The guy is huge, and it***8217;s got to be a major ordeal to dehydrate down from the 190s to get to 168. We***8217;re talking about a cruiserweight draining down to fight at super middleweight. You can do that for a while, but this isn***8217;t something that Chavez Jr. will be able to do much longer.
Top Rank is going to need to come up with a big offer to give Chavez Jr. if they want to keep him under contract. The question is should they bother? Once Chavez Jr. is fighting at 175 and above, he***8217;ll be just another fighter and his chances of fighting success will be incredibly low. Chavez Jr***8217;s weight advantage over his lighter opponents has been one of the things that has helped his career, but once he***8217;s fighting at 175 and cruiserweight, he won***8217;t have any advantage over any of his opponents.

I read your link but my link did not seem to work so I posted the whole article. I don't see how Chavez Jr. would sit out another year. Why does HBO allow 3 of their best fighters to be shelved for so long (Chavez, Ward, and Garcia). Hope your article is wrong though. Why can't these guys buy out their contracts? Isn't that what Floyd did with Top Rank?
What about Marquez? Anyone know his contract situation? Floyd could vacate 1 of his belts and let him fight Thurman
since he is trying to get a title in another weight class.

this contract deal is wrong, but it is what it is, too much time to be inactive for chavez but unless he doesnt resign he wont get a fight until late next year...I read your link but my link did not seem to work so I posted the whole article. Money Mayweather will be forced to find another date doe. Otherwise, he will be lucky to get 100K especially if the Canelo fights are non PPVs.
If you ask me I'd rather have this kind of choice on those dates, PPV or not. I will have zero regret not watching another Mayweather fight.Comment

Lmfao! This dude has to be the biggest joke here. So now to fight on those dates you have to bat floyd? Bwahahaha hahhahaThe real problem with this is Canelo had his chance to take those dates the right way. He failed miserably. He got shut out and embarrassed in front of millions. Now he essentially wants to be handed those dates when he's done little to actually earn them, besides being born Mexican. People claim Floyd is entitled. Floyd put in his work, he had a full hof level career before he became a ppv powerhouse. Canelo hasn't really done anything of not to further his claim yet. His career has been mediocre at best. There's a saying "stick with the devil u know". Ppl better start realizing it because once Floyd and Manny are gone, trust me, boxing won't be no land of milk and honey.
Bwahahhahhaha
