Floyd got a 32 million guarantee vs Cotto who got $8 million plus PPV. Canelo was also on that card making 1.2 mil, and Mosley got 600k. The fight did 1.5 from what I remember. If I'm Cotto I let both networks fight over me. lol

He still makes more fighting Floyd than anyone else I think, but he would be the A side vs Canelo and can demand more. Both guys only did around 300k buys their last fights on PPV.

I never said that. I said he had the chance. He can fight on those dates but his sense of entitlement to them don't make sense. Those have been the two biggest dates on the boxing calendar for years and Canelo has neither proven he's the biggest star in boxing nor proven he's that great of a champion. Floyd better fight Manny in May; if he wants to keep that May date.

Canelo Cotto is a very good fight.

They won't be going head to head. The PPV industry will choose one side.

That's a given. They Will choose the side that makes them the most money. Which side is that? Most likely Mayweather. He has the proven track record. But it depends on what happens between now and then. How Canelo looks in his next fight, who is fighting who etc. Point is those dates have to he earned. It's no different for Canelo either.

What is Floyd offers Cotto more money for a May fight?
Who could Canelo possibly fight to take the date then?

Cotto got # mil for the Martinez fight 7 mil guaranteed (Martinez only got 1.5 mil), but against Floyd he got 8 mil plus PPV shares. What is Top Rank / Golden Boy going to guarantee after both guys only did 300k buys?

Those are Floyd's dates, Canelo can keep begging for it though.

I say Canelo/Cotto in May and Canelo/Chavez Jr. at 160 in September.
Oscar doing what he needs to do. He isn't to let pettiness mess with his business and i like it. Let Floyd promote his own fights and see how many sponsers line up to be associated with a known domestic abuser and someone who is prone to controversy.
Now we know why Espinoza has been bad mouthing Oscar lately, he knew Canelo was about to pull the ether move. Golden Boy has those dates already locked up at the MGM. Lets see Showtime shell out 30 million + to Floyd to fight Khan.

I sort of agree. Cotto-Canelo is a little overrated on here in terms of how big it will be. 1 million would be great for that fight and that's almost what Mayweather does on a regular basis. The problem for Mayweather is that he does not have a name opponent or at least he refuses to fight the name guy.
