Actually, you're wrong here. If they did body punching, they would be more vulnerable. At 6'6 and 6'7 respectively, there is no need for body punching, lowering yourself to your opponents level. We've seen quite many tall fighters (for their weight division) at the lower weights but they fought like smaller fighters and forfeited their advantage. Their body type simply doesn't call for body punching, even against similar sized opponents. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. If there was a chronic problem with their style and not just fluke losses on a off-day, then they would have to make adjustments but that was never the case.

Its why fighters like Frazier and Marciano are so beloved. Todays heavyweights are just flat out lazy and would rather sit back and just head hunt. Jab, jab, grab. Jab, jab, right, grab. BORING!!
And yet look at Frazier's and Marciano's, heck even Tyson's body and frame. All 5'10 guys with upper body build. You can't ask Shaq to be a point guard, go face to face with another point guard and "break his ankles". He will always turn his back and use his size to get on the inside. Does that make him any less of a great? A point scored is still a point and often times he had a bigger scoring percentage than the actual shooters.

I'm really tired of hearing about them as a package deal. They may not mind because that's how tight they are but it's BS. Second: Worst of all time? Are you serious?
See... this is what's wrong with how legacies & resumes in boxing are formed.. Vitali is CLEARLY the superior fighter with less weaknesses than his brother... has been even more dominant than him but according to you & some others Wlad is more accomplished.. just because a resume is better doesn't mean you're better qualified to do a job.

Vitali is better qualified than his brother to take on fighters that Wlad has Clearly struggled with.. he's KNOCKED out 2 fighters that have KNOCKED out his brother... he KO'ED 3 common opponents of Wlad's that SENT WLAD to the canvas a cumulative 8 times... that's what resume does NOT show.. how you deal with the same opposition & yes Wlad dealt with Byrd better & eventually Ko'ed Peter in the rematch...

Vitali FACED PETER with 4 yrs of inactivity.. he fought Byrd with a major disadvantage & injury still won 8 of the 9 rds that were fought... Point being you can't be superior just because you were put in position to be more successful & Vitali being injured & selfless has led to Wlad having more hardware than he does. Vitali clearly would be undisputed now if he hadn't had the 4 yr layoff & simply faced off against his brother.

Having fought horrendous comp with Vitali losing the only fight that could have given him some credit (his loss to Lewis) despite the comp....

And what really does the klits in is they can he compared to Lewis, a guy who was also occasionally safety first but who fought all commers, was in a better heavyweight division, and beat one of them to boot. That tells us that even if you subscribe to the myth that the big fighters have arrived, the klits are a step backwards!

If these guys were not too bad they would clean the division out. Beat on some of the young guys before they go. And the holding of Vlad is in a league by itself.

Vitalie is better imo. I might consider him mediocre, even though he fought inferior comp.

Lets just remember that Vlad had to fight tooth and nail to get rid of Sam Peter....what else has to be said?
This is just a horrendous post, i don't know where to start. So, you're gonna hold one loss against Vitali forever, even though he spent the next decade making up for it with win after win. Not only that but in dominating fashion. Let me guess this is where you dig into the subjective quality of his opposition. I suppose this is a good tactic to pigeon hole him into a corner: 1. Discredit his opposition until retirement 2. Hold his loss Vs Lewis (which was controversial and disputed) against him until the end of times, And 3. Meanwhile, hope that he loses so that you can make fun of him for losing to some nobody.

This is all just subjective hyperbole. You say pot, I say kettle. He was in a division where his two best foes were considered past their prime (Tyson and Holyfield) after the wars and losses they were part of.

Yes, the one "exciting" fight where he had to actually get up and dig down, you will also hold that against him. A fight which was part of his rebuilding process. 9 times out of 10, he boxes Peter's ears off.

Resume means jack when the other fighter clearly can kick your A$$$ whenever he feels like it & Ruiz clearly knows it as well as Wlad.

I was being sarcastic.. obviously it's not necessary & most tall fighters don't go to the body because the head is much easier to reach & they don't have to forfeit there spacing & height & reach advantages.

He'd probably be a Light heavyweight.

Joe Louis fought a bunch of bums for 10 years. He struggled against Billy Conn, lost to Max Schmeling because he couldn't defend a right hand. Yes he was great, yes he was dominant. Did he really beat better fighters than Wlad and Vitali though? I say no.
This post deserves some recognition. Because of his choice of words, this will sound ridiculous to some of you. Just remember, that's exactly how some of you guys come off when you go on a tirade against the Klitschko's, where you think that you're delivering ATG quality posts without any self-awareness of how idiotic you sound.

9 times out 10, Iron Mike will get a boxing lesson for 8 rounds and get TKO'd in the 9th or 10th, by either one of them. And I won't qualify my statement in more detail since you didn't either, though I've done it in past threads. You wouldn't know how to because you're just parroting off what so many others say.

The discrepancy in the ones that are posting favoritism for the brothers doesn't reflect that as they are being intimidated.. it's more like 10% who are actually defending them & that shows cowardice on the part of the posters here.. unfortunately they don't want to be ganged up on.

Nearly 80% say Vits is not an ATG. Since we're going by boxingscene polls and you want to just ignore the facts I guess this proves you've lost again. And please stop with your make believe numbers of intimidated posters, you can't have it both ways fanboy!

Frank Bruno's solitary Oliver McCall win is better than Klit's entire comp.

In fact, Bruno's 7th round defeat to Lewis is better than Klit's entire comp as his 6th round loss is one round less!!!
