Not Vitali, nor Wladimir. Except Vitali's fight against Hide, when he was still a relatively unknown quantity to the wider boxing public.

If that's all he had to get by on... he'd be a clear H2H favorite against anyone... throw in the fact that he isn't that easy to hit & he throws constant hard shots from wherever he's positioned in the ring & any fighter he's facing is behind the 8 ball.. whether it's a tomatoe can or one of the best heavies to lace them up.
This is why he's just NOT an alltime great... he's the HARDEST & most difficult boxer to beat because of all those things I outlined.... his unprecedented numbers are legit.. you just don't wanna see it... I do.. he's no Deontay Wilder.. he knows how to fight & knows how to box.. his kickboxing experience has seen to that as he has an unfair advantage over anyone that's ever laced them up.
So you can keep your polls & your bias... you won't ever find this type of overall dominance in a fighter ever again.. he's got the least amount of weaknesses out of anyone... if your only boxing weakness is getting injured or getting cut... then I'd say you're one special fighter.

First of all Wlad and Vitali's legacies are not the same and they won't be in the same neighborhood when all is said and done. Wlad will be way over Vitali. These are not one person. I'm really tired of hearing about them as a package deal. They may not mind because that's how tight they are but it's BS. Second: Worst of all time? Are you serious?

Oh, you think you covered every possible angle in this post, didn't you. Lets break it down.
[QUOTE=R_Walken;13986018Are they all time greats not a chance I say this because neither has a single W over a elite or A grade fighter.
[/QUOTE]
"Elite A grade fighter". Which one is it? Elite or A Grade or merged as one? This is such a subjective methodology, it's laughable. Both have beaten plenty of A fighters, and if 'Elite' qualifies as that one long time foe, then it's David Haye and Wlad beat him.
Keep in mind that a Heavyweight is limited to what he can accomplish since he can't win titles at Light-heavyweight, Cruiserweight and then look good on Wlad's resume. All they can face and defeat is TOP CONTENDERS, for what it's worth. The Top contender cannot become anything else besides a contender unless he beats Wlad or Vitali. Brewster defeated Vitali, is he elite or just a bum who defeated him? Because that's what I'm sensing your answer would be.
If you compare heavyweight fights from the 60 - 90's you realize how much better the division used to be It's a shame what it is now most of the top ranked guys are 3rd rate Euro Bums.

It's not a measure of greatness per se, no. But it shows you how much interest there is in their fights. But you are right though, if they were american they would have probably been one HBO ppv once or twice.
Over there, they're doing what American Boxing did back in the black and white TV era, and that's broadcasting nationally instead of a limited paying audience, and I thought you guys liked the golden era's of days past. That's better than PPV's. I lived in Germany anyway and they're generally behind in times. They did break-dancing when it was already out of style in America. It was a rude awakening. But in a lot of areas, it's a good thing.
