      As were some of Hopkins.

After the ref told them to break, he hit him right infront of him while his back was turned. It's hard to get more blatant.

Murat hit Hopkins after the bell, Hopkins then proceeded to hit him back. That's illegal, right infront of the ref.

Just because Murat was worse doesn't excuse Hopkins fouls and blatant fouls which he should have been warned for and he wasn't.

I'm not entirely sure why the obvious bias and favouritism from Smoger is being denied.

Oh, well in that case, case closed!

If the punch isn't hard when it's a break it's not a foul apparently.

                Depends.

Some fouls weren't hard punches so really they weren't fouls. It's hard to gauge.

I mean, a shot to pieces Roy Jones "love tapped" Hopkins in the back of his head and he needed what seemed like an eternity to recover from the spots he was seeing.

That is actually legal, the epitome of illegal and he did it right in front of the ref was when Murat punched Hopkins a few times while he was down .
Fixed it for you wow he tap the body not a punch cause if he would punched him hard the dude would have went down and wouldn't have got up.

I for one was very pleased to see Murat take that approach against Hopkins. That's what you are supposed to do against a coward bully. Also, I've notice a trend with B-Hops, he only uses dirty rough house tactics against opponents whom he deem inferior and weaker than himself. However, if it's an opponent he respects like (Jones I, Taylor, Calzaghe), then he typically plays within the rules.

What difference does it make of it was a hard punch or not?

He punched him when his back was turned on the break and that's flat out illegal.

How many times did Murat punch Hopkins hard on the break? Why weren't they "taps"?

Seems like it's one rule for one and another for the other.

Both broke the rules on multiple occasions both should have been warned.
