FWIW I think HBO thinks he is going to SHO and they are going to fight because Lampley really threw sergio under the bus IMO on the last fight game.

But Hitking makes really good points. If the floyd sergio fight is about 2 top 5 p4p fighters matching up and testing skills-well nothing has changed in that respect. But if it was about seeing floyd KTFO like manny or Pwill-well that doesn't look likely anymore so posters are kind of "on to the next one"-either matts or GGG. thats suspect.
I would disagree that Martinez is top 5 p4p anymore. I just can't justify that over Mayweather, Ward, Marquez, Mares, and Rigondeaux.

I'm not going to pretend people aren't talking about Mayweather-Golovkin because they want to see him get knocked out. But that's a small portion of the site. They may be vocal, but you notice it's the same small group.

There are also people talking about it because of Golovkin saying he can make 154 for the fight. I don't want to see him do it, but if he thinks he can I'd like to see him prove it before I talk seriously about the fight.

Because it's the 2 best middleweights, and we want to see if it's the passing of the torch or Sergio pulling off an incredible late career win.

Most people also probably aren't thinking of when the fight would have to happen, and what could happen in that time period.

That he hasn't should tell you he knows he can't make it, and is just hoping Mayweather picks him for the money.
Martinez is an alleged small MW despite coming to the ring at 170 lbs.

It's not discrediting, it's facts, before your eyes. The man is old, injured, and will only be older next year if he does come back from injuries. He'll probably get injured again.

Doesn't matter, Sergio is still the undisputed MW champion, the only champ that really matters at MW, clear as day.

So basically, Sergio is still credible enough to warrent GGG fighting him but not Floyd.

When did I say it's not credible?

If Mayweather were to fight Martinez at 160, that would deserve more credit than Golovkin doing the same. But it wouldn't happen at 160. It would happen at 154, where the injured and old middleweight champion wouldn't have been in 4 years. It's not a fight I care about, and it sure won't mean that much. It would be like pretending that Matthysse or Garcia beating a weight drained Mayweather at 140 is the same as beating Mayweather at 147.

                  Cool story, Bro.

Robbing Murray while looking like a C fighter in the process is hardly worthy of being called the undisputed champion.

Anyone with half a brain can see Golovkin will walk through him, even his own manager sees it.

                    See how crazy that sounds.
The guy they are saying would beat the crap out of May and GGG..
is a cherry pick for 1 and not for the other.

If anything it should be a cherry pick for GGG since he is atlest a MW when Mayweather is nothing more than a old WW.

How about if Floyd fought him at a catchweight between 154-160 for the middleweight title. Because the middleweight strap is the only thing that makes this fight make sense.
