    Sharp logic!

I also admit that Martinez would deserve a Mayweather retirement fight rather than meeting a cold-blooded Soviet executioner...
I know I'm somehow sentimental, but entertainment deeply roots in sentiments...

157 would be a good catchweight. I'd give Mayweather more credit for beating Sergio there than Golovkin beating Martinez. And Sergio can make that definitely and still be strong.

After Alvarez, I highly doubt Mayweather would do a catchweight again. He won't get any credit for beating the ginger because of it, no matter if Alvarez looks perfectly fine in the ring.

Yes he is. No one knew how he would recover from the injuries. And we saw he didn't recover well at all.

Most of the same people who won't give Floyd credit for beating Ginger because of the catchweight annointed Manny the GOAT for beating DLH (not technically a catchweight fight but 147 was far below DLH's comfortable fighting weight), Cotto, and Margarito at catchweights. The catchweight has nothing to do with Floyd not getting credit for the win. People don't like him and will **** on everything he does.

Gatti & Carlos barely fringe contenders, average guys w/severe limitations...legit? hardly...if Gatti wasn't dead he wouldn't b near hof...Sergio doesn't need catchwt as IMO, he makes '54 no problem......he'd have 2" ht & 3" reach on FM & FM would W UD 12....

                      floyd is a tremendous talent.
not sure he believes in himself.

i would have liked to see him fight the best at their best without the need
                      for a sucker punch.

this canelo fight is a great start, but hes still too green, and there is a catchweight! come on man.

although i do blame the boxing fans for lifting canelo up to fight mayweather now, i would have waited a year, where he will be more polished.

a fight with martinez proves nothing, as he is clearly shot to ish.
GGG dismantles martinez in 4 rounds.
This is what I would call boxing talent. Floyd is more of a pillow fisted ballerina. yeah he knows how to avoid getting hit but its because he runs around like a ballerina getting tennis balls whipped at her. The fact that Floyd is a superstar is another perfect example of the pussification of America. What a boring **** excuse for a boxing superstar. I don' think Floyd could stop a butterfly that landed on his heavybag with his hardest right hand
