You think Canelo would fight GGG at 160? Doubt it. He'd make G come down to 154.
Out of division? He is the WBA champ at 154. And 2x champ at 154.

Cmon man. we may not agree on everything but your posts suggest you are a real fan.

GGG mentioning a floyd fight helps get his name out there. HBO's corporate partners (espn, SI) each have had their boxing guy (rafael, mannix) mention floyd would never take the fight because GGG puches soo hard and is sooo strong-which makes GGG seem even bigger.

we know HBO isn't going to invest in GGG and let him fight floyd on showtime and potentially lose. We know floyd isn't fighting on HBO after they split. we know the fight isn't so big that it would warrant cross network promotion like lennox tyson.

So I'm all for a real discusson. Is GGG to big to fight floyd? No. Is ggg's size/weight the reason the fight won't take place. No.

Golovkin has been at Middleweight his whole career. You really honestly and truly see Golovkin getting down to 154??? Yeah, alright. Message me when that happens.

Floyd is on his 5th weight class at 154, and he comes in around 150 for those fights, yet people want him to fight guys who have been at 160 their whole careers.

But no one else has the same standards held to them, I wonder why. You guys think Floyd fighting Golovkin is more reasonable than Canelo fighting him, which is funny.

I applaud fighters for fighting out of there weight class, it's one of the reasons many people love the 8 division champion. I don't however enjoy someone who would attempt to use that as an excuse to avoid fighting potential threats. Mayweather should not be campaigning there if he can't handle it. He should have left after 1 title and not returned, like Pacquaio.
when did floyd use weight as an excuse?

Floyds most comfortable at 147. He's a small Welterweight with average punching power.

                I hate that u can't comprehend that.

Golovkin needs to be fighting Middleweights just like he did with Macklin. Hopefully Sergio Martinez, Daniel Geale, and guys in his weight class fight him.

All I wanted to hear, honestly. If the stars allign (and it's possible) then in the future we can at least 'hope' the fight is made. Golovkin may become bigger than we ever imagined, or Mayweather may lose before then... things can change, and I don't ever want 'weight' to be an excuse for king-pins not fighting is all.

My guess is floyd would only fight the lineal MW champ-assuming he beats Canelo. If you watched thew fight game it looks like Lampley nd HBO think floyd and Martinez are going to fight because Kampley threw both of them under the bus while elevating ggg to the stratosphere.
