Canelo should have been forced to come to 147.

He's lucky Floyd granted him the extra pounds.

And yet Floyd as a JMW champion fights for a JMW belt at a CW!

Matthysse has to move all the way up to 147. No CW for him!

The 'fairness' guy strikes again! Doublestandards a'plenty.

Again Floyd didn't call Canelo out.

floyd won both his titles at JMW at 154 lbs. How would fighting Matts at 147 be different?

floyd is defending his JMW title in a unification fight against a guy who won his JMW title at a CW. how is it a double standard?

Q: Now that you've beaten Canelo, are you going to fight Golovkin next?

Floyd: No. Golovkin is to big even at 154.

Q: Howcome Golovkin is to big when he doesn't rehydrate to more than your previous opponents Baldomir and Gatti (and Canelo)?

Floyd: Yeah you are right. The real reason that I dont want to fight him is XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

The answer I'm looking for is what these X'es stand for. Feel free to give a take.
You don't need to reiterate the point of the thread with a made up interview. I know the point of the thread and responded to it.

If Golovkin is serious about being considered an opponent for Mayweather he should move down to 154 and make noise there. The chances of that are slim considering he hasn't weighed under 160 lbs in I don't know how long and if I recall correctly has never weighed under 160 as a pro.

In regards to the weight, I was responding and refuting the idea that Mayweather is bigger now than he was in 2006. There is nothing to sugges that, and again, the scales support it.

Floyd couldnt drop even two measly lbs. But hey Floyd is a small WW. LMAO.
He's not a small WW but he's certainly an average sized WW.

Small in comparison to the majority of WW's by today's standards.

? If you're desperate to believe the narrative. Why refuse fight night weighin habitually, if there's nothing to hide? Who does that? Mostly guys like Chavez Jr. Not that Floyd is like him, but he's highly insecure and has put on ridiculous statements regarding his fight night weight
Likely for the same reason Oscar did.

And unless you consider that fight night weight to be fake then yes that is good enough for me.

Unless there's a lost 5-10 lbs between the Ortiz fight and all of his other fights.

Add the fact he was 148 lbs a month prior to the Guererro fight.

Add the fact he's never weighed in more than 151 lbs for a fight.

I think it's fair to assume a correlation.

I think Golovkin should focus on getting Martinez and if he wins that make his way to 168 and have a legit opponent for Ward at 168.

If he wants Mayweather, move to 154.

Fight night weight is not always an indicator of size because some fighters put on a lot of water weight when they rehydrate after the weigh in and others don't. For example Ortiz rehydrated to 164 against Floyd while Martinez rehydrated to 167 against Barker. Are they the same size?

You would think that would be obvious.
