The GGG fans get as quiet as the mute button when the name Andre Ward is brought up.

    Lmaoooo!

Only Floyd is supposed to take risks.

Floyd gets criticized for fighting Canelo and GGG gets man love for fighting a scared bum like Macklin.

Double standards are typical for AA boxers/athletes.

GGG mentioning a floyd fight helps get his name out there. HBO's corporate partners (espn, SI) each have had their boxing guy (rafael, mannix) mention floyd would never take the fight because GGG puches soo hard and is sooo strong-which makes GGG seem even bigger.

we know HBO isn't going to invest in GGG and let him fight floyd on showtime and potentially lose. We know floyd isn't fighting on HBO after they split. we know the fight isn't so big that it would warrant cross network promotion like lennox tyson.

So I'm all for a real discusson. Is GGG to big to fight floyd? No. Is ggg's size/weight the reason the fight won't take place. No.
Then what is the right reason for the fight not happening? Since its not weight it could be fear?

The CW implies that floyd and his team used their negotiating power to give canelo a choice-more money for less weight. I'm sure if Canelo wanted to make less he would've done 154.

But no one else has the same standards held to them, I wonder why. You guys think Floyd fighting Golovkin is more reasonable than Canelo fighting him, which is funny.
Not true at all. Even Marquez seems willing to fight top level comp in his 5th weight class with no weight stips, and he's older, more worn, less talented, less multidimensional etc

More importantly, all non paper champs are expected to defend/unify at a regulation weight, no special treatment for being 5 divisions up. It's what being a champ means, that you can deal with the challengers at that weight and not a few below

No, we are not quiet. I would enjoy that fight, and it appears Gennady and his team would too. They said they are ready to fight him, however first Gennady is making him name more respected within the middleweight, and once he is a more household name he will attempt a big money shot at 154 fighters. After that he intends to eventually move to 168 a few years down the line.

Macklin was a good opponent with great past fights, especially how he handled Sergio and Felix. Do not compare fighters on how they react to Gennady, they fight 'scared' because they are smart, he hits hard, you know that right?

It was a fair fight BC Jmm agreed to it. You act like Mayweather is a big welterweight. He's 36 and can still make the weight.

Why cant you just admit JMM got beat by a better fighter?
JMM was paid a huge amount for complying. I cant believe you think its fair when one fighter fail to live up to the contracted weight.

Floyd couldnt drop even two measly lbs. But hey Floyd is a small WW. LMAO.

                  Exactly.

HBO is mad that Floyd jumped ship. They are hoping to build GGG into a cash cow like Money May was for them.

GGG will never fight Andre Ward. He'd suck down to 147 to fight Broner before he even thinks about SOG.

He has made it clear once he has placed his dominance in 160 he will move up to 168, why are you attempting to attack him when he and his team have been open to fighting anyone who provides a remote challenge? You are coming across as a hater now, it's time to stop.

Bat i'm gonna treat you just like did T18Z-you are both real fans so I'm asking you to stop debating a ridiculous premise posted during an argument with a wack job and lets really discuss.

HBO wont let a fighter they developed fight on showtime and potentially lose. they wont air a floyd fight now. the fight isn't big enough to warrant cross network promotion llike lennox tyson. GGG isn't the best MW in the world nor is he the lineal champion. WHile GGG is super hot right now-showtime has Matthysse who is equally as hot for the same reasons so an "in house" fight makes more sense.

So its politics and economics far ahead of weight. GGG mentioning a floyd fight helps get his name out there. HBO's corporate partners (espn, SI) each have had their boxing guy (rafael, mannix) mention floyd would never take the fight because GGG puches soo hard and is sooo strong-which makes GGG seem even bigger.

Is GGG at 154 too big to fight floyd? No. Is ggg's size/weight the reason the fight won't take place. No.
