Can't Canelo vs GGG be made? I'm sure they'd break ppv records

    Lol
Floyd is one of the fights within reach where you can earn a fast route to money and stardom. Ask yourself why is Floyd, in your words a 'small welter' (lol) going up to a weight class he doesn't belong regularly? Canelo is staying where the money is at the moment, pretty obvious.

Floyd shouldn't be fighting Middleweights, I can't believe we're all still talking about this.

This whole thread is about weight if you didn't realize, there's been many posts about it.
The notion of a floyd ggg fight is absurd right now. The weight/size difference is far down on the list of reasons the fight wont happen. You think HBO lets GGG fight on showtime? You think HBO airs a floyd fight now? You think the fight is big enough to do a cross network prmotion?

He hasn't defended the 154 strap obviously because that's not his weight class. He's just good enough to win a title there.

His natural weight class is 147. He's also the champ at 147. He doesn't have to fight a pound over 147 if he doesn't want to.

Canelo is fortunate May didn't make him come down to 148.

May isn't calling these big boys out. They want a piece of him. You gotta play by his rules then which means fight closer to his weight, not yours.

It's a boxing forum, we can discuss these kind of fights perfectly fine. We're the fans, afterall. It is a potential fight for the future, GGG isn't signed with HBO forever, they understand the network conflicts and I'm sure have something in mind or they wouldn't be calling Mayweather out, obviously.

If you wanna use weight as an excuse for requesting a CW unification, or for passing on challenges, you better step on the scale fight night. It's not hard, it doesn't cost anything.

Mayweather should be applauded for fighting out of his weight class to make compelling fights.

You think Canelo would fight GGG at 160? Doubt it. He'd make G come down to 154.

He should get out of the division then, like others do.

If you make 154, you're a super welter. That's how boxing works. GGG is lighter fight night than Canelo, so where's the problem?

                      At least it's 154 and not 152.

I applaud fighters for fighting out of there weight class, it's one of the reasons many people love the 8 division champion. I don't however enjoy someone who would attempt to use that as an excuse to avoid fighting potential threats. Mayweather should not be campaigning there if he can't handle it. He should have left after 1 title and not returned, like Pacquaio.
