What launched Martinez into the Top 5 was a multitude of wins that stemmed from knocking out Paul Williams.

Well I can't remember if he shot straight into the top 5 just for the PWill KO, but top 10 definitely. That's basically one notable win on his record at the time.

I can't see how anyone can have Andre Ward at #1 when he hasn't done anything of any note since 2011.

Roman Gonzalez is one of the best up and coming fighters in the world but there is no way he has earnt a Top 10 P4P spot.

I don't understand how they keep letting this guy make these ridiculous lists. My list was me just messing around in under a minute and is more realistic then this update.

The one that chaps my @$$ the most is how EVERY P4P list up right now puts Marquez in the top 5 because of one single KO. That man has not had a good road in the 147lbs division and just because he put Pacman to sleep he gets top honors. I couldn't even understand how he was fighter of the year for it. KO of the year, yes...surprise of the year, yes...but he didn't impress the whole year, and was even losing the fight (badly) until Pacman went neng neng."peeleft:

The last time Pacquiao looked impressive, he ended up going to sleep. Ward would never waste his time with a Ramos or Fendchenko, and I do mean never. I think that should answer your question. I don't see how a case can be made for those two over Ward, no way.

The last time Marquez had an impressive win was in December when he beat the #2 P4P fighter in the world by brutal 6 round KO.

The last time Ward had an impressive win was in 2011 when he beat a guy who wasn't ranked in the Top 10 P4P albeit is P4P quality fighter.

I think it's very easy to rank Marquez ahead of Ward. Very easy.

The clear #1 and #2 P4P fighters IMO at this moment in time are Mayweather and Marquez.

I'd also like to note that while Dzinziruk was every bit decent ( I saw nothing in him literally) he was seen as someone that could give Martinez trouble, that was also a contributor. If Martinez didn't look so godawful against Murray I'd still have him Top 5, not anymore though.

Ward over Mayweather. Christ sakes. The guy has fought at one weight and Mayweather has been fighting guys out of his weight class for years.

Fighting in 1 weight, and other weights, really doesn't make a difference, unless of course, you dominate every single weight you go into, which Floyd hasn't done really.

Dominating everyone in 1 division vs picking out titles in multiple divisions, your call. But it's a matter of opinion which you rank higher

Very strongly disagree, if Ward doesn't find a formidable opponent soon and Marquez is victorious against Bradley, then I can see it. On the bold, not in my book, the last time Pacquiao beat a credible opponent was Clottey in my opinion and that was in 2010.

You already know how I feel about the Bradley verdict, I thought it could have gone either way and Manny simply did not get it, but that's up for another topic.
