even as far back at 2006 people thought de la hoya mayweather would do 1-1.5 million buys
there ya go, nowhere near 2,5m.

AFAIK the combined p4p ranking for Tito was a lot higher than for Floyd. DLH was pretty much a non factor p4p when he fought Floyd. DLH Tito was the 2 best guys around at he weight, in their primes

Did Floyd's stock drop after the DLH PPV blockbuster?

You working for Top Rank? You seem to be awfully smitten with his positions

No it didn't. It went up beyond any reasonable projection. Good for him, too bad for Arum but he'll manage with all these newly open HBO dates and Mr HBO Shiming

Man you're wasting my time with this. No I don't work for TR, though if I could merge business and pleasure... Hook me up if you got a connection lol. My feeling is, both TR and GBP are scumbags as you probably must be to get far in that business. But only GBP plays holier than thou (complete with the fingerpointing), and it's the same hypocrisy dynamic we're seeing now with the Floyd CW.

Will you now promise not to recycle these questions after having everything thoroughly explained? Or is this like a 23rd edition?

Sorry but id rather pay attention to people that answer the thread rather than guys like you going off on strange tangents about Donaire and Rigondeaux

I'm just explaining to you man, fighters have promoters, and these rip them off. Since the beginning of time. 1 super privileged fighter got away and made it big time, another got away and made it big time by piggybacking on the other one. Another one had the opportunity maybe, but he never cared to be a promoter, he's got a higher ambition lol. Which can be just as profitable even (especially!) in a place like the Philipines.

              3) no, I believe after that prior to the baldomir fight floyd teamed up with al haymon and they already planned to buy out his contract. After the fight he did just that and pursued oscar.

Arum still owed floyd mills for the gatti fight and wasn't getting the amount he was supposed to have got. So he left him. Just like cotto and oscar. Too bad PAC didnt he would've made just as much as floyd. Maybe more because of his endorsements.
Seems like the most rational response. Thanks man. I understand now.

Basically if you're the kind to engage in those, you don't get to be top ranked promoter for longer than I'm alive. China, now that's a percentage play and a serious power move, but most here play checkers, not chess so it'll take a while to sink in.
May was only guaranteed 15 mil and Oscar was 45.. Forbes magazine provided that info. That's what they made when all said and done

@#1----if arum doesn't want to do business with de la hoya then why did arum let pac fought de la hoya?

Thanks. That makes the 20m guarantee request even less reasonable
