i can say for a fact that the j-prince situation was more than just money. like i said in another post, it was a few issues that needed to be ironed out and bob definately lended a hand but it had no bearing on his issues as a fighter.Comment

Margarito wasnt a nobody, he was mexican and that brings all those fans especially if it was a big fight vs floyd
Floyd was getting 9 mil guarantee because Margs was a threat and huge risk.
I think floyd saw Cotto, Margarito, in the Top Rank Stable and found it to be easier to self promote then to tangle with those guys 2006-2008...Comment

if you have been reading the thread he wanted the cotto/hatton fight at a particular price and when he realized he wasnt gonna get it he left. you think when he was beating the breaks off gatti and bruseles he was worried about cotto at that time? come on.Margarito wasnt a nobody, he was mexican and that brings all those fans especially if it was a big fight vs floyd

True for the most part but he had beaten the hell out of undefeated Cintron and Serg...
Margarito didnt become a huge star till the cotto fight, but i think if he would have fought floyd in 2006 it would have been the biggest fight of 2006.. It was kinda a slow year in boxing with Tarver-hopkins, Winky-taylor, Oscar-mayorgaComment

when he beat sergio martinez that fight was insignifgant as ****. when he beat cintron very few people even ordered that ppv to the point where espn never put another one on again. he was doing little ppvs here and there averaging like 15,000-20,000 a buy when floyd was doing 350k on average through 2 ppvs at that point. yes he was a nobody until the 8 million appeared and took this board by storm, even now, 7 years later, people still bring it up even with the plaster situation.True for the most part but he had beaten the hell out of undefeated Cintron and Serg...
