BTW. I voted he is not an ATG.

This is a forum after all..
Come on bro, stop being so sensitive. These forums are for exchanges of opinions. We don't all agree and sometimes we get adamant in our stances. If it isn't personal it shouldn't be taken personaly. I could care less if nobody agrees with my opinion. Trash it, dissect it and lets argue about it. Who cares, this is all just entertainment to pass the time.

I don't think Vitali is an ATG, but he's definitely Hall of Fame caliber. The reason he's not an ATG is because he hasn't beaten any elite fighters. His best wins were against Sanders, Peter, Arreola, & Adamek.

One of the strongest hw's ever, one of the most intimidating too. Always in great shape, there's never been a champ his size in such an athletic shape, only his lil' bro.
I'll forgive the loss to Byrd. That was just an injury and he beats Byrd in any fight where he doesn't sustain a serious injury.

I'm sorry, this "injured" vs Lewis? What the **** is that? You a Vitali apologist or something?

Lewis tore his face up with punches. He lost the fight. Points over 6 rounds means NUTHIN. Nadda. Squat. At the time of the stoppage, his face was a mess, all "injuries" - or cuts, as we call them in boxing - were inflicted by accurate, hard, vicious punches. At the time of the stoppage, Lewis was dominating the action and Vitali looked punched out and like he could barely stand. Don't let "facts" get in the way of anything though, excuse that loss away. An out of shape Lewis ****ed up Vitali and no amount of crying about the stoppage can change that.

Is Vitali an ATG? Tough call. His best opponent beat him, and you can count on 1 hand the number of other worthy opponents. The resume is just too thin to call Vitali an ATG, even though he had the tools to be one.

I see more than two-thirds the voters think Vittles is NOT an ATG.

not sure how 1/3 has him as an atg. I do believe he'd show a war against any heavyweight..but that's an IF. so far we have what we have.

I agree he'd be a handful for most heavyweights in history, but thats an assumption that doesnt add to his very weak resume.

If he beat his little brother (because you know he would), what do you think it would do for his legacy?

Actually I think Wlad would thoroughly outbox him. He's stronger, faster and a better fighter. But to answer your question....a win like that over this dominant version of Wlad would propel him into the top 15-20. It would help him immensley.

No way man. Vitali beats him down, it's his little brother. It's going to be a war not a boxing match, a war Vitali wins.

Yeah I think in some ways they're both unfortunate they can't take on the most dominant 'other' fighter in the division.

We'll agree to didagree on the fitst part of your post my friend. As to the second part, I agree, it is unfortunate. It would go a long way in legitimizing either of them and it would give the fans possibly the most anticipated boxing spectacle ever!
