If you look at the votes, almost half voted yes. It was a coincidence it wasn't made public, I just forgot to click that box.

It's funny people can't bring any arguments as to why Vitali isn't great, other than 'he fought nobody'. What's Ali's best win for example, Foreman? Tyson's best win? Both Ali and Tyson are considered ATG's by most people I guess...

Actually there were some fantastic posts explaining why he isn't an ATG, you just don't want to hear them. Vit was a very good fighter but he falls short of all time greatness based on his resume. Would he be a contender in any era? No doubt. But unless you actually prove it in the ring against solid comp you just don't leap frog other fighters who have.

most people talk about the "ATG" as the best 100 fighters of all time. it's based on who you beat, when you beat them, and who you fought but couldn't beat (who you lost to.)

vitali is not even close to the top 100. the great fighters beat other great fighters. when there were no other great fighters available they lined up the "very good" fighters and beat them.

vitali fought one great (lewis,) and one "very good" (chris byrd.)
          they both beat him.

hes probably top 175-300. obviously i have not calculated my top 300, though, so i can't say that for certain

You see a pattern of many of the champs being 'old', yet they still win the world title somehow.
You've just proved the reverse of your argument - the only pattern is that almost all these guys were on the slide and about to retire.

With this argument you have shot yourself in the foot.Good luck with continuing it, I guess when you get a bad idea you are the kind of guy who goes with it.

its not almost half in the slightest. Its not even one third including the alt klitlickers. Just imagine how embarrassing it would have been with no alt votes.

I suppose it's enough to vote according to your opinion. There is no need to trash the different opinions. 32% think he is, so what. Other day 50% thought he uses PEDs, so what...

BTW. I voted he is not an ATG.

This is a forum after all..

I noticed that too. I don't think it had to do with this thread though, I haven't seen anything I would consider ban worthy. But than again I'm not an administrator.
