but, but, but, vitali was winning on points when he got tkoed/quit on his stool ...
Vitali's legacy

Lewis was drunk during that fight. Nobody with an IQ over 50 that have watched boxing thinks Lewis was in his prime.
You got to factor in motivation+ preparation for Lewis's boxing timeline.
Mason to Ruddock- Pre-Physical Prime, Pre-Boxing Prime. Highly Motivated.
Bruno-Mccall I. Regression with every fight(largely due to the Rid**** Bowe mess) still an elite fighter, but motivation was going down hill from fight to fight. Ended this stretch with a questionable stoppage loss against Mccall.
Morrison- Mercer-Physical Prime, Pre-Boxing Prime. Highly Motivated.
Mccall 2-Holyfield I.. Physical Prime(Physical Peak was during the Golota year) Boxing Prime. Highly Motivated
Holyfield 2-Tua - Past Physical Prime. Boxing Prime Highly Motivated
Rahman I- Past Physical Prime. Past Boxing Prime. Zero Motivation.
Rahman II- Past Physical Prime. Past Boxing Prime- Highly Motivated
Tyson- Way Past Physical Prime.. Past Boxing Prime- Highly Motivated
Vitali- Way Past Physical Prime.. Way Past Boxing Prime- Ring Rust- Fat- Zero Motivation.
Lewis was in effect already on his way out during the Rahman-Tyson stretches. Lewis looked so good against Rahman during the 2nd fight because that was the most motivated he's been. so despite being past his physical and boxing prime.. his motivation carried him.
Lewis looked so good against Tyson because Tyson was even more shot.. It was a past prime heavy ATG vs a shot heavy ATG. Lewis was actually slow and sluggish against Tyson.. didn't throw as many combinations and lacked the sharp edge to his punches. The Lewis of Golota-Holyfield I fight would have killed that Tyson in 5 Rounds..
By the time he got to Vitali. he was a mere shell of his former self.
Vitali is an ATG Heavyweight btw.. just putting things into perspective in regards to where he rank next to Lewis.Comment

why do you think that 1 example supports you, when the other 40 examples don't.
Please explain how 1 example supporting you is more valid than 30-40 examples telling you that you being wrong.
If forty world HW champions retire from defences before the age of 38, but 2 of them don't, is the normal pattern that of the vast majority, or the tiny minority? This is simple stuff, can you answer it? SO far you have failed.
Is everyone like Bernard Hopkins, or is he a tiny minority that does not represent the larger population? Obviously he is a tiny minority.
Is this part of the Klittard logic as in when you lose polls about Klit being great by a massive landslide, but you still believe you are right because you have a tiny minority who support you?Last edited by DreamFighter; 04-22-2013, 05:18 PM.Comment

Klitschko is the most underrated Heavyweight Boxer of all time because he's a tall awkward white guy

And because... you know... he hasn't beaten any ATG in his entire career. Or even a hall of famer.Comment

I gave you the example as to why Lennox wasn't 'too old and faded'. Lewis was still a prime HW fighter. And I wouldn't say we have a massive landslide, when against the odds, 3 out of 10 people voted in my favor.why do you think that 1 example supports you, when the other 40 examples don't.

Maybe Vit can call out Sylvester Stallone and get a HoF'er on his CV.
What makes a fighter an ATG? Is it beating other ATG's? What made those fighters ATG's? Who was the first ATG, and who did he beat to become an ATG?Comment

No. ATG status is too loosely chucked around and if you look at it without a nose full of Vits pubes you'd see he's literally done nothing that qualifies him as an ATG heavyweight. Who did he beat? Not even talking about prime this or that, or whether they were in shape or not....in the grand scheme of things, WHO did he beat?Comment
