Vitali's legacy

no you didn't do anything of the sort. Why are you still pretending that you did?
You gave the example that Vitali now slowing at 40, deliberately picks crap fighters to defend against.
And you gave an example of Goerge Foreman being 45, who is an entirely different person to Lennox Lewis. Foreman is not the norm for HW champions, he is the exception to the rule. Unless you can name more 45 year old HW champions of the world. Well you cant. You are basically wrong by a landslide.Last edited by DreamFighter; 04-23-2013, 02:04 PM.Comment

See, you've misread that, probably deliberately. I wasn't referencing this poll, I was referencing the fact that you think George Foreman, the 45 year HW champion, is the rule that determines when HW champions retires - you couldn't be more wrong, he is the exception.
To explain my original point, you misread polls that are 40 to 1 against your argument. Geiorge is the 1, the other HW champions are the 40.
You probably didn't misread it did you? You are just trying to avoid admitting you are wrong by pretending you've misinterpreted me.Comment

It's pretty incompetent claiming 37 is old for a HW - it's not; Wladimir is 37 now and still considered to be in his prime/late prime by most. Many people would argue that Wlad has never been a better fighter than he is today. Most people believed Vitali would kill Haye back in 2009, when Vitali was what, 38?no you didn't do anything of the sort. Why are you still pretending that you did?

When Lennox fought Vitali, he was still firing full cylinders, even when being overweight. People just won't admit it.Comment

something is not the case just because you type it as a post.
37 is old for a HW champion, and you continue to ignore the opinion of almost every world HW champion in history who all retired at the age or around it.
You OBVIOUSLY know more than all these HW champions we have had. In your head you are right and they were all wrong. How arrogant are you to believe you can tell them when to retire and that they were all wrong?
the irony in that statement was never more blatant.. People just won't admit it.Comment

Vitali Klitschko, 42 yr hw champ
Evander Holyfield, 37 yr hw champ
Wlad Klistchko, 37 yr hw champ
Lennox Lewis, 37 yr hw champ
Muhammad Ali, 36 yr hw champ
Jack Johnson, 36 yr hw champ
You see a pattern of many of the champs being 'old', yet they still win the world title somehow.Comment

This thread is great for a laugh at Klit nuthuggers getting chewed up, spit out and run off with logic. The poll says it all. My guess is it wasn't a public poll for a reason. Id bet all my points at least half who voted Vittles an ATG were alts, and still more than two thirds don't think he's an all time great.Comment
