Where does Manny rank all time?

Top 50 is fine if there are real arguments for 49 fighters hands down without absolutely any doubt better resumes and better fighters than Manny. The problem is there's not 49 guys that are honestly better accomplished. If the argument was 10 guys better or even 15 better I could see a solid argument but 49???
Give me a break.

Yes I am.
Unless of course Booker winning the california state title is vastly superior to winning universally recognized world titles. He has 2 names on his resumes and lots of lots of local guys even a few losses to those locals.Comment

2 names, ay?
Holman Williams and Archie Moore, right?
I guess you missed Lloyd Marshall when you were scrolling through Boxrec?
And those "local guys" he lost to? You mean Zivic, Chase, Cocoa Kid and so forth?
Local guys?
Please, stop.Comment

Don't forget the legendary Shorty Hogue, the second best California state champion ever.
Face it you can scroll through boxrec all you want son but Manny has better accomplishments than most of the guys you listed.
Winning a title and defending it 2-3 times then losing it isn't as good as beating the best guys in the division on a regular basis. Manny beat MAB the recognized feather champ. He moves to 130 beats MAB again and JMM and Erik becoming the recognized 130 champ. He picks up a strap at 135 before beating Hatton the universally recognized jr welter champ.
Manny's accomplishments are closer to Armstrong than the legends you love like Holman, Maxie etc.
Oh did I forget to mention all those guys were prime or very close to it when Manny beat them. It's about when remember.Comment

Pacquiao, hates him or like him but you can't deny his achievements since early in his career.
pro boxer at the age of 16
world champion at 19
lineal champ at 19
by the age of 24, he was already a 3 divisions champion and 2 lineal champion
the first and only professional boxer who fought from minimum weight up to light middleweight
the first and only 4 lineal champion in the world
the first and only 8 divisions champion in the world
a p4p #1 for 5 years straight and top 10 p4p for 10 years
3 times fighter of the year
Fighter of the Decade!
Even in one millennium from now I don't think someone will be able to break his records in boxing. You haters will die after one hundred year or less but Pac legacy will stand to the test of time. Who cares about ATG rankings when none of this ATG's achieved Pac accomplishments.Comment

Lol. These dudes are so offended because everybody in this thread has admitted that Manny Pacquiao is one of the 50 greatest fighters to ever step in the ring.
I just don't get it.
"No he's not # 45, he's # 23".
Who gives a damn? He's a elite. He's an ATG. Be happy.Last edited by -PBP-; 10-28-2012, 08:51 PM.Comment
