Top 50 is a HUGE compliment.

Top 100 is a HUGE compliment.

Considering how rich this sport is.

      But agreed with everything.

Years down the line, all the new kids will be saying "You only rate Mayweather and Pacquaio so highly because you're nostalgic!"

"How can you judge them? All we have is film. We don't have 3-D holo viewers for Pacquiao and Mayweather."

The only fighters that should be ahead of Pac in my opinion are:

            Ali
            Leonoard
            Hearns
            Duran
            Hagler
            Joe Louis
            Ray Robinson

The fact that Pacquiao went through 8 divisions is sick to even think about. Not only that, but he demolished the biggest names in the sport along the way. He has become the most famous boxer in the world, only behind Ali and i would say on par with Mayweather and De La Hoya, and he is a little filipino guy that can hardly speak english, not much more needs to be said.

And that's probably because you don't know enough about the rest.

You picked Hearns and Hagler but not:

Charles, Armstrong, Canzoneri, McLarnin, Ross, Walker?

That's 100 years, if you consider modern to be in the last 10 years then that's a 9:1 ratio of years.

That in turn means there is going to be about 1/10th of the greats coming out of this modern era.

                    It makes perfect mathematical sense.

As for the bolded that's irrelevant because most people don't judge greatness by the footage or skills.

                    most people?

you mean people like you who like to cling to the past and preserve history?

please. we are living in modern times.

No fighter can be taken seriously in rankings with no fight footage.

You can pretend all you want to know how great maxie rosenbloom, terry mcgovern, midget wolcast, and some other former great white hope, but people are not buying it.

at least people who believe in analytical honesty.
