You're going to repeat what I just said to you?

It's abudantly clear you obviously have no idea who Lloyd Marshall is. Or the "local guys" he lost to

You used Eddie Booker as an example of a bum as I assume you spotting him in Archie Moore's loss list because you clearly have no idea who he is. Talk about backfire.

Manny's accomplishments are closer to Armstrong than the legends you love like Holman, Maxie etc.

Oh did I forget to mention all those guys were prime or very close to it when Manny beat them. It's about when remember.
Yes, it's about when. Something clearly eluding you with some of your examples.

It seems for you, it stops at MAB, Morales and JMM because it's what you keep going back to to compare him to others and believe it or not, despite 2 of those being exceptional wins. It isn't a comparison to Henry Armstrong's wins

        I just don't get it.

        "No he's not # 45, he's # 23".

Who gives a damn? He's a elite. He's an ATG. Be happy.
agreed. i am a bigger Pacquiao fan that most of these herbs in that I have been following his rise since the Ledwaba fight. the thought of that unpolished kid boxing his way into the top fifty of all time is one of the better personal sports stories in history, in my opinion.

It's sad but it's always been the way.

Once upon a time, the fans considered you "Biased" to the old school if you didn't have Chavez in the Top 10.

"Chavez' undefeated streak is unmatched, how else has accomplished that feat?"

"Haha, you actually think Henry Armstrong would beat Julio Cesar Chavez"

          Etc etc etc.

Years from now, these same people will be called the same thing by the new breed for saying Pacquaio is better than their new favourites.

It's just the way it is.

Pacquaio is awesome. He's a great fighter, one of, arguably THE best of the last 20+ years.

But, he's not as great as the guys living his era think he is but It's just how people are.

Once upon a time, I might have told you Alexis Arguello was as great as Ray Robinson

But it's all about who can beat who right?

Manny is obviously better than SRR because:

Manny beat DLH who beat JCC who beat Camacho who beat Leonard who beat Benitez who beat Palomino who beat Stracey who beat Napoles who beat Griffith who beat who beat Tiger who beat Fullmer who beat SRR.

There you have it Manny through a series of highly scientific tests has proven that he has beaten SRR.

But on a serious note lets wait to find out the huge list of accomplishments of Holman Williams.

Top 50 or top 500 doesn't make any difference to me.He's a great fighter is all that matters.

Manny will stand the test of time because he has an ATG resume. He doesn't have 1 win over a HOFer not 2, not 3, not 4, but potentially 6 HOFers. Plus linear titles in 3 divisions but all of that pales in comparison to the California state title.

Fact is the older guys fought hard but typically padded their resume with no names and while some guys might do that today it is far far from the same degree. Today it's padding if you have 20 no names on your resume back then fighters had 50, 60 maybe 70 journeymen on their resume some even the same guy 4-5 times.

You're obviously butthurt because only a very small number old timers have resumes better than Manny. Too bad for you but I'm off to do some RL work (yeh for me) I might be back later to shit on more weak old timer resumes.
