I didn't say they were the same thing . I gave an example of another fighter ducking to show there's different reasons and examples of ducking and it isn't always a black and white thing.

Who has he beaten other then pwill past prime serious lay off pwill that suggest he's that great everyone seems to think he should get a shot just because he's talented he has to earn it best thing he should do is stay busy keep getting more experience against who ever get some ko's and build his name cause as of now he has no name value just a tricky fighter that's hard to look good against with great boxing ability but that doesn't mean he'll win all these fights....just my two cents

      Feel free to disagree
it's the same with rigondeaux...rigondeaux hasn't really fought anyone in the pros yet and he is already being regarded by some as a future p4p#1 and soon to be an ATG...

He's got two wins against top ten types at 22, so he's fought pretty good for a guy with ten fights. Agree hyperbole gets carried away.

People need to understand there is a difference between taking hard fights because u have no fanbase and thats the only way to get decent paydays and guys who are superstars and could fight bums for millions of dollars. Im curious to know if Canelo couldnt draw a couple thousand people and Lara was making millions and selling out stadiums if he would give Canelo that chance. Im not saying that i like that part of boxing but we live in reality and this is big business.

No, folks rate Rigondeaux based on his performances, his resume based on relative experience in the pros, and the fact he's one of the most decorated amateurs in the history of international & olympic competition.

But most importantly, people rate Rigo based on comparison to other guys in his DIVISION, and most can't find a name they see giving Rigo a beatdown. All the others, Rigo has called out. Fervently. That's why Rigo is rated.

Right now, there are atleast 3 names in Canelo's respective DIVISION that people see having a VERY real chance of beating him. And none are being considered as opponents.

            That is the difference.

but then Marquez went on to fight Pacquiao, because Pacquiao was worth the risk.

what im saying is ducking someone isn't always black and white

he's a guy fans can get behind
he's a boxer who isn't a drag to watch in the ring
he's in a stacked division, but getting frozen out of fights
he's calling for any and everyone to face him
he hasn't done much yet, but that's not all his fault
he'll be worthy of the praise once he gets some title fights
he can beat all the guys who have belts at JMW
fans always go for the avoided guys if they aren't boring

Im pretty sure both Mayweather and Cotto would be considered to Canelo and his managment if those fights were available. Those 2 are arguably the top two guys at 154 right now.
