Why is Lara getting all this hype?

I've seen him fight once the p will fight I think he's a good fighter very solid good counter punching good speed decent pop very crafty in other words I like him but damn it seems that people are making him out to be this god in the 154 lb division. Who has he beaten other then pwill past prime serious lay off pwill that suggest he's that great everyone seems to think he should get a shot just because he's talented he has to earn it best thing he should do is stay busy keep getting more experience against who ever get some ko's and build his name cause as of now he has no name value just a tricky fighter that's hard to look good against with great boxing ability but that doesn't mean he'll win all these fights....just my two cents

according to some of the posters here he beats everyone not named Mayweather @ 154 and would humiliate Martinez @ 160.

he's extremely overhyped. He just happens to be good but with no name and a style that makes everyone look bad. Most fighters just think he isn't worth it. I honestly don't blame them.

He went 10 rounds with a guy with no head movement that was there to be hit..
a guy that had gotten destroyed in 1 round by a welterweight and his fans actually think he looked unimpressive because "he planned it"

I don't think he eats him up it'll be competive personally I think Canelos power will be the biggest factor in that fight Lara's never been hit by anyone that big or that hits that hard. Pwill was big but wasn't that heavy of a hitter.

But if he(lara)boxes well he could take it but that's hard to do with a big heavy handed guy with good boxing ability him self to do.

Looking at these two statements, who is the overhyped fighter here? BTW, try watching more than one fight before making a thread saying a guy isn't that good. Lara is a pretty good fighter, and actually has proven more at 154 against better competition than Alvarez.
