so Martinez fights Pavlik and Williams acouple years ago and he's allowed to duck all of the top fighters in his division for the foreseeable future

he gets a PPV because he's a draw, you don't earn PPV's based on your achievements. Martinez will be in a PPV because he'll be in a fight with a draw in Chavez jr and it's a fight people actually want to watch.
Which is what GBP and Canelo want to do aswell. Put on a card people actually want to watch.

The truth is Martinez is doing the exact same thing Canelo is doing but he's 1 of your favorite fighters so he gets a pass.

Which is why I congratulated the business of boxing for ginger's duck of the entire 154lb division.

The truth is that Martinez deserves his fight with Chavez & ginger doesn't deserve nada, that's the truth.

okay, that still makes no sense

your entire argument for Martinez ducking the top guys in his division is
"he earned his ducking because he fought someone a couple years ago"

Actually I have said countless times I'm tired of Martinez. What doesn't make sense is you assuming I ever said it was ok for Martinez to duck the top guys when the fact is he already beat the top guy, period.

At least he fought (the top guy) a couple years ago. Meanwhile ginger has ducked his division his (entire career).

VADA should have year-round testing for high concentrations of B!tchassness in ya'll blood.....

I'ma use this same criteria for some of ya'll favorite fighters, and go back and reference this thread lol.

"*Insert name here* should have stopped him in 3 rounds, dude must be garbage..."

And this is coming from a Canelo fan, not a Lara fan. I would actually lean towards Canelo 60% of the time if they ever match-up. Just simply because I can see Canelo (who is a somewhat a "complete" offensive package) outworking a sometimes one-dimensional Lara. But in that same breath, there are huge glaring weaknesses in Canelo's game that are tailor-made for a strong southpaw counterpuncher like Lara. No, there is no better match-up (talent wise) at 154 short of Miguel Cotto for Canelo Alvarez than Lara. None of ya'll ulterior agendas (that you all had prior to Saturday anyway lol) will change that.

Anybody making the case for Lara being overhyped while drawing comparisons to Canelo, got their skirt showin.

Canelo was a teenage kid most of his career. He's only been relevant acouple years, hell he's still green and he's already called out Mayweather, Martinez, Kirkland and Williams. Who are all top fighters, he happens to have a name so he wants to make the most out of it. Which is wrong ....by your logic and it's also considered ducking

Your hatred for the kid is completely unwarranted.... I have reasons as to why I dislike some boxers.. Your reason is "he ducked the beast Lara who got beat by Molina, and couldn't dispose of a C level fighter that was coming off getting knocked out in 1 round by a welterweight"

seriously, how can you watch any fighter just once and then make up your mind as for how good or bad he is? especially if hes fighting such an unusual opponent like williams.

some go too far with the lara hype but he really is a top fighter at 154, hes very good and deserves the chance to fight the best in the division. its too soon to say hes #1 at 154 put hes no doubt good enough to get a crack at any of the top guys in the division so we can find out.
Thank you, good to know I wasn't the only one...

Lara, isn't hyped to be the next big star, or the best out there now, but what he does do is call EVERYONE out!...from Martinez, to PWill, to Cotto, to Canelo, and the list goes on!, he wants the challenges he wants to fight the best, of course there's an interest in money, but who can blame him for wanting to get paid?!..

and with all those named, only ONE stepped up and got whooped, but got a gift decision, and it's now evident that Lara's style is smooth and he can crack and would give just about anyone at 154lb a good run if not a solid ass whoopin..
