Im not saying MW doesnt have a will. Im saying Cotto is gonna test it like never before. Ill give him his props if he wins, but he needs to step up and fight cotto. The fight is on the table, and there is no reason for him to not take it.

And comparing JLC to cotto is even more foolish.

Its really a repeating story. Mayweather's style in the ring befuddles, tires, and breaks down his opponent. Cotto has shown in the past not to have a pure iron will. If anyone is broke down in this fight, it will be Cotto.

Castillo? Cotto doesn't even fight with a sustained body attack anymore, he was headhunting against Margarito. And even if he regresses, if he should try to throw those wide hooks to the body, he will get countered. If he tries to box Mayweather he will get outmatched. If he skates backwards (which I see happening since MW has had this "walking down" style lately), then he won't be applying this pressure you seem to think he will. Its pretty clear cut to me.

Still.. of all the fights for MW, excepting Martinez, if its not Pac then I guess Cotto is it.

I would think Floyd has more heart and mental composure during adversity then Cotto.

When Cotto got cut against Clottey he got gunshy.
When he fought Margarito he couldn't handle the pressure and wilted.
He couldn't adapt to Pac and wilted.
He was starting to gas out and wilt a little against Margarito the second time due to the pressure.

Floyd adapts no matter what= mental composure.

I think this is unrealistic. Cotto's jab is one of the best. His timing is impeccable with it, and it comes at unexpected/random times. It WILL land. I remember people were saying pac was gonna counter cottos jab all night...and he did...with his face.

I sorta agree about the hook. Its possible to land on mayweather, obviously its gonna be difficult to at first tho (to the head). The body will be there, cottos right hand needs to show up to the fight. And considering either trainer is no slouch, i beleive it will. If any of mayweathers last few fights are any indications, he is gonna try and stand right in front of cotto. Imo, that doesnt bode well for mayweather. Floyd aint beating anybody down, much less cotto. He is not a volume puncher.

That hook to the body is easily block able with a shoulder roll defense he just brings the arm down and brings it back to the chin to protect from left hooks and from there he sets up counter upper Cuts to the head and body and plus you named all this good stuff about cotto being a good body puncher well Floyd aint I bad him self at it and I just can't imagine Floyd not jabbing to the body to stop cottos forward momentum an to set up rights to the head
