Cotto has a good chance of beating mayweather!

Obviously nobody is gonna outskill mayweather, but i believe he can be outwilled. I dont see mayweather having what it takes to take cotto out of the fight, i.e. cotto is gonna keep coming. Cotto would do a huge disservice to himself to not focus on mayweathers body, especially when mayweather is against the ropes. When he is on the ropes, he is usually more focused on rolling from head shots, and his body is pretty open. Focus on the body, and the head will open up. Cottos jab will also cause problems for mayweather.

Cotto would be mayweathers toughest/most credible opponent to date. In no way should we accept 'he is pacs leftovers' bit. This is a sport, in which the best fight the best. If mayweather doesnt fight him, he's scurred.

I see this fight playing out like the judah-cotto fight, with cotto slowly waring out mayweather, and still coming.

After 3 or 4 rounds Cotto's jab will be taken away by Mayweather countering over the top of it with his straight right. After that Cotto will be at a loss and it will become a one sided beatdown. Cotto's other best punch is his left hook...a punch that I literally don't think is possible to land on Mayweather.

I don't think he can out will Mayweather....Floyd has some underrated traits that people don't give him credit for cuz' of his style of fighting. Yes he is very defensive minded. But, he can dig deep and dog it out in a fight if he needs to. His toughness and heart are very underrated.

I just don't see anyway how Cotto can beat Floyd now. The Cotto of a few years ago would have a much better chance. Now, I just don't see it.

And, I also disagree with Cotto being the most toughest/credible opponent to date for Floyd.

So true man. Floyd is far tougher than he gets credit for.

The only chance Cotto has is to not get KTFO

agree with the bold...........certainly not his toughest or most credible foe.

I think this is unrealistic. Cotto's jab is one of the best. His timing is impeccable with it, and it comes at unexpected/random times. It WILL land. I remember people were saying pac was gonna counter cottos jab all night...and he did...with his face.

I sorta agree about the hook. Its possible to land on mayweather, obviously its gonna be difficult to at first tho (to the head). The body will be there, cottos right hand needs to show up to the fight. And considering either trainer is no slouch, i beleive it will. If any of mayweathers last few fights are any indications, he is gonna try and stand right in front of cotto. Imo, that doesnt bode well for mayweather. Floyd aint beating anybody down, much less cotto. He is not a volume puncher.
