Obviously nobody is gonna outskill mayweather, but i believe he can be outwilled. I dont see mayweather having what it takes to take cotto out of the fight, i.e. cotto is gonna keep coming. Cotto would do a huge disservice to himself to not focus on mayweathers body, especially when mayweather is against the ropes. When he is on the ropes, he is usually more focused on rolling from head shots, and his body is pretty open. Focus on the body, and the head will open up. Cottos jab will also cause problems for mayweather.

Cotto would be mayweathers toughest/most credible opponent to date. In no way should we accept 'he is pacs leftovers' bit. This is a sport, in which the best fight the best. If mayweather doesnt fight him, he's scurred.

I see this fight playing out like the judah-cotto fight, with cotto slowly waring out mayweather, and still coming.

Look I know your a big Cotto fan and nobody is calling Cotto a bum. He's a top fighter, been a great champ but he's not on the level of either Pac or Mayweather.

Pac adjusted after 2 rounds and basically dominated the fight even though Cotto had some moments but never was he in position to win that fight.

Against Mayweather, he will face a boxer like he's never faced. A master counter puncher who will be faster and who would have the ability of hurting Cotto with right hands and check left hooks.

Also, Mayweather doesn't get bothered by pressure and Cotto isn't that great of a pressure fighter to bother Mayweather. I think Ortiz at this stage of his career is a much better pressure fighter than Cotto. He's also younger and stronger than Cotto.

I don't see anyway in which Cotto could possibly beat Mayweather, it wouldn't be close. He's just to good defensively and too fast and his boxing skills are way above Cotto's.

Cotto isn't the same fighter he was 5 years ago either, he's been through some wars and was touched a lot by slow Marg and Mayorga, imagine how often and easy Mayweather would touch him.

i can see why cotto wants another shot at pac. you'll recall that he started using his bike in the later rounds of their fight. pac was frustrated. only reason why it wasn't as effective was because cotto was exhausted. pac caught him eventually. looking back, cotto thought that he should have done it in the first rounds.

as you saw in the marg fight, he was determined to fully utilized his bike. never again will he ******ly stand in one spot and ******ly trade punches.

that's why this cotto/mayweather is more interesting than pac/cotto 2.

cotto will outsmart mayweather, believe me.
