True, and he seems to decrease his jab output late in fights which drives me crazy. It may not always land, but he needs to throw it often. With Mayweather, you have to accept you are going to miss alot and sometimes miss bad. His right does look better since the shoulder surgery, but not what his left is. And hooking off the jab is a no-no against Mayweather.

If he gets in thier with Mayweather it will end very badlly for Cotto, maybe even career ending for Cotto. I just dont think he can suffer through another one sided beating like that again.
Wow you talk as if May had knock out power Similar to Mike Tyson GTHO!!

Cotto isn't Oscar. Oscar's height was a big factor as to why his jab worked so well against Floyd. As i said before, [IMO]you have to least be a lanky type of Boxer with long arms in order for your jab to work effectively against Floyd. Cotto is an inch shorter than Floyd, and his arms are too short when being compared to Oscar, Castillo, N'dou, ect.

If Paul Williams was taught all the right technical fundamentals from the get-go, He would've been a nightmare to be reckoned with. He'd have a great chance of beating Floyd.

A tall lanky left hander who fights tall is pretty much everyones worst nightmare in a boxing sense.

That is why watching Paul Williams fight is terrible because it is all there but he just doesn't know what to do with it~

If it was just one punch ko power it would not be as bad for Cotto, but to get hit over and over again is whats dangerous. Mayweather can hit hard if he wants to, just ask Gotti,Hatton,Diego,Ortiz,Moesly, and Judah. They were all beat into submission by Mayweather. Some one with out power is not capable of doing that. Mayweather is very acurate, and he throws punches that snap the brain back. Very jolting shots, Cotto will be beat into submission again against Mayweather. Margarita had Cotto ready to quit again in the rematch, had they not stopped the fight.

Cotto would do a huge disservice to himself to not focus on mayweathers body, especially when mayweather is against the ropes. When he is on the ropes, he is usually more focused on rolling from head shots, and his body is pretty open. Focus on the body, and the head will open up. Cottos jab will also cause problems for mayweather.

Cotto would be mayweathers toughest/most credible opponent to date. In no way should we accept 'he is pacs leftovers' bit. This is a sport, in which the best fight the best. If mayweather doesnt fight him, he's scurred.

I see this fight playing out like the judah-cotto fight, with cotto slowly waring out mayweather, and still coming.
Well let's not forget that you said this. I hope I don't find you flip-flopping after Cotto gets spanked.

Cotto's last two fights were against Mayorga and Margarito. Which means Cotto is past it? All the slightly credible opponents for Cotto to fight at JMW and they landed on Mayorga and Margarito. Damn, Cotto was past it against Manny. Remember Clottey was peppering Cotto before the Pacquaio fight. The simple question is, Do you believe Miguel can compete with Floyd? No, no and hell no. But if the fight does happen, it is a farce and Cotto will get stopped.

Cotto actually stand a fair chance agains Floyd.. In fact, this is a better fight than the fight with Ortiz, which is more like a tune-up.. Floyd is fighting a legitimately bigger opponent... Its not close to the even odds compared to his fight with Mosley, but its still acceptable simply because Cotto is a bigger fighter, and is a pressure fighter with decent boxing skills...
