When he is on the ropes, he is usually more focused on rolling from head shots, and his body is pretty open. Focus on the body, and the head will open up. Cottos jab will also cause problems for mayweather.

Cotto would be mayweathers toughest/most credible opponent to date. In no way should we accept 'he is pacs leftovers' bit. This is a sport, in which the best fight the best. If mayweather doesnt fight him, he's scurred.

I see this fight playing out like the judah-cotto fight, with cotto slowly waring out mayweather, and still coming.
Are we forgetting Floyd facing a stronger, tougher De La Hosiery at 154 lbs. And winning unanimously on all score cards?

Floyd hasn't missed a beat since being away from the gym for almost 2 years. And he has not received a serious beatdown from ANY opponent he's faced to date.

Hence, Arum definitely not wanting to put Pacquiao in there with him at the moment.

That said, Cotto will put up a decent run for the money, then he'll turn to his frustrated corner for a non-existent plan B.

      Two things...

When has MW ever been outwilled? Be serious. His will is stronger than Cotto's... for obvious reasons

Comparing MW to Judah is a foolish thing to do.

It was a SD, but anyone thats not a bias Floyd hater or Oscar lover could see that fight was NOT a split decision. Floyd out landed him by like 80 something punches and landed 43% of his total punches. Oscar didn't win more than 3, at the most 4, rounds against Floyd.

Im not saying MW doesnt have a will. Im saying Cotto is gonna test it like never before. Ill give him his props if he wins, but he needs to step up and fight cotto. The fight is on the table, and there is no reason for him to not take it.

And comparing JLC to cotto is even more foolish.

So now this Cotto/Mayweather is a useless fight according to
Mayweather's fans. Mayweather beats everyone in fantasy fights.
Fans don't have to see it.

Therefore, Cotto is out of the picture. Martinez is out also. Pac
fight has tons of issues. Alvarez is too green for Mayweather.
He's never going to give a rematch to Ortiz. And on and on.

WTF! Who is next for Floydie? He might as well retire.

anything is possible but if i was gonna put money on cotto winning or me being struck by lightning, id probably take the latter.

If Floyd fought 2-3 times a year, this fight would be perfectly fine. But since Floyd only fights once every year and a half or so, and has become something of a novelty, we expect him to fight nothing but the best at time. I don't really give Cotto much of a chance to be honest, too easy to hit and he has horrible stamina in the late rounds. Add to that he's pretty much abandoned his body attacked (which was some of the best in boxing). And he's become more of a boxer puncher than a puncher boxer, I don't see him winning a round after the 4th.
