But yeah, slight attempt at humor, on my part, that missed the mark. Either way, selling 1MM records doesn't mean it's impossible for someone to go broke. Pavlik just mentioned Manny ******** and drinking his money away, and asking TR for an advancement of his purse for the JMM fight.
These guys (Manny, Floyd, and many others) don't live like we do. It's easy for any of us to imagine having the kind of money they have, and applying it to our own lives. We overlook the responsibility and change that comes with that money.
"He invested his money in businesses. After he retires he will be in movies, TV and ads in PI."
You believe Pavlik? Is he Pacquiao's girlfriend?
Can't you see Pac and Floyd don't live on the same world?
Partying and letting money rain in vegas costs much more than a drinking spree in PI.
Floyd bets in NBA finals game much more than Pacquiao bets in a billiard game.
Maybe Pacquiao gambles and drinks but not the way Floyd does.
Pacquiao is a congressman and have TV shows and have many ads in PI. He don't have much time to gamble and drink. Pacquiao actually have many investments in PI.
Its true that it's not impossible for Pacquiao to go broke but Floyd would go broke first before he will.

I also remember, during the buildup for the Marquez fight, Floyd going on record as saying if Pacquiao wanted to fight that he'd pay JMM $1MM to step aside.

And understand, the boxing industry is very small. Fighters/writers/trainers/promoters/misc mostly know each other and each other's business. I'm going to guess that Kelly Pavlik, who fights under the same promotional flag as Manny does, has a better idea of the situation than you or most any other poster here.
