Any fighter that fights consistantly and win will rise to great levels. Floyd simply doesn't fight enough top level fighters with consistantcy to rise to great levels lately. Shane slapped his ass in the last fight, Victor will whobble his ass in this up and coming fight and Manny is going to end Floyds career.

Floyd leaving just made it official, him coming back hasn't changed a damn thing.
He had been a star in a lesser way before this fight, and I think, already a 2 time world champ with a string of regional title defences won in a dominating manner.

A defiant O J Simpson has vowed he will never pay the families of the murder victims Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman a penny of the $33.5m (£20m) damages they were awarded.
The former American football star-turned actor said in a television interview: "I've said this so many times ... If I have to work to pay them, I won't work. It's that simple. I'll just play golf every day."
The amount Pac will be awarded won't be higher than Floyd's net worth. SO UNLESS FLOYD DECIDES TO RETIRE FOR GOOD, HE WILL PAY IT. Remember according to Floyd, "he's his own boss", made "60 million for 2 fights", "got paid 1 million by Reebok for 3 weeks" and "owns 5 mansions"!!!

mayweathers layoff doesnt help pacquiao, its just simply shows that how floyd mayweather afraid of pacquiao. he knows that pacquiao is coming and he knows that pacquiao will go after him, he`s just afraid of facing pacquiao and thats the reality....

Conclusions i've drawn ?
Now please, before you run any more diversions, go back and explain to me what part of this you're disagreeing with:

Floyd retiring when he did, leaving the DLH rematch and rumored Hatton rematch on the table, allowed Pacquiao to fight those guys. Manny went on and dominated, thus propelling his rise to superstardom and adding to his legend. Then he fought Cotto, a guy many wanted to see Floyd fight.
Yes, Floyd leaving boxing when he did is what opened the door for Manny.

And when I say fan, I'm referring to Mayweather's consumer base. A large percentage of those who order Mayweather fights or buy a ticket to his events are their to see him lose. Like Buddy Rogers said, "Whether they come to see me win or lose, its still five bucks in the seat."

In the infamous words of Manny Pacquiao: "Uuuuuuuuuummmm ..."
Before Floyd retired the first time they held Manny back at Jr Welter.
After Floyd announced his retirement they moved Manny up to Welter.
When Floyd announced his return Manny's been ducking his worst nightmare ...

well, Oscar snubbed Floyd, so Floyd retired
Oscar ducked Tony and cherrypicked Pac
Pac destroyed and retired Oscar
so in a way, Floyd's absence did help Pac

When that happened, boxing needed a megafight. A few guys in the industry, most notably Larry Merchant, suggested Manny. They were thought to be crazy at first. Turns out, it was a great idea and Pacquiao hasn't looked back since.
If Floyd sticks around and fights Oscar again in 2008, would Manny have ever went up to 147?

but Floyd thought winning the 1st one would give him leverage
he wanted more money, and Oscar told him to fuck off
had Floyd stayed and fought Oscar, Pac woulda stayed at LW
he was set to fight Valero or Soto until Oscar pulled him up
had he stayed, Pac-JMM 3 woulda happened in 09
