Since you've taken it there though, how can you ask a poster- who, mind you, is quoting Forbes as to Floyd's financial status- if he's Floyd's accountant for doing so, then turn around and say Pacquiao will never go broke, is rich, and if he did go broke it would be after Floyd? How do you have a better idea of Manny's finances? lol

And understand, the boxing industry is very small. Fighters/writers/trainers/promoters/misc mostly know each other and each other's business. I'm going to guess that Kelly Pavlik, who fights under the same promotional flag as Manny does, has a better idea of the situation than you or most any other poster here.
ALL my posts here were not meant to be serious.
I'll go nuts if i'll take seriously all the posts and posters here.
But I respect you man. All you're posts that I have read so far, i can tell that you say it as you see it. We may differ in opinions but i respect yours.
I don't care who among Floyd or Pacquiao goes broke. I don't get a single penny from both of them. I don't even know why are we arguing about finances in a boxing forum. I just post here for arguments sake. I enjoy it if i have time.

    That said,

I was replying to a poster that tells somebody to stop pretending to be Floyd's accountant. I don't have a better idea of Manny's finances or Floyd's. All my opinions are based on news and the internet as most of us here do. Unless somebody actually belongs to Team Mayweather or Team Pacquiao or Top Rank or GBP etc. No first hand information.

I don't dispute Forbes' numbers. Even if somebody is the richest man on earth if you spend more than what you earn, you go broke.

I said that Floyd will go broke first in my opinion because all i can see in the news is him letting money rain, partying and taxes and court problems.
Although I saw news of Pacquiao ********, I also read news of his investments. Shops, grocery stores, sports bar, music bar etc. Pacquiao has earns other than boxing.

The point of my saying how can Pacquiao go broke when he sold a million of his music is how horrible the product he sells, his fans will still buy it.

You're right that Kelly has a better idea but I'm not sure if he is telling the truth under the circumstances.

Now please, before you run any more diversions, go back and explain to me what part of this you're disagreeing with:

Floyd retiring when he did, leaving the DLH rematch and rumored Hatton rematch on the table, allowed Pacquiao to fight those guys. Manny went on and dominated, thus propelling his rise to superstardom and adding to his legend. Then he fought Cotto, a guy many wanted to see Floyd fight.

Yes, Floyd leaving boxing when he did is what opened the door for Manny.

Agree about Manny's victory over DLH propell his career to superstar! But, Manny fought guys FLOYD don't even wanted to hear their names. Like Cotto.... I'm not saying Cotto was a better fighter than Floyd.

This two guys get benefits from each other !!
you can't mentions Floyd's name without thinkin' about Pacquiao, and viceversa!!

Unless MannyP is leaking money like a sieve, he must have a lot more than $26mill. Even with all the money he donates to charitable causes in the Philippines and likely large amounts he put into his election exes, we're talking about just the amount that he should NETT from ONE fight. And, as he put it, in his whimsical response to a question, that he'd hardly have just bought a $9 mill house if..........
        How did you know that?

        I like you man.

I'm telling you, two minds with but a single thought. I have a sense of humour that sometimes gets me into trouble, but this time, I can see my post was read in the right way by the right person.

          Thank you.

I read a few of you're posts but not all. But I can tell right away that you speak of the truth and unbiased in your opinion. And I like the way you respectfully disagree with others' opinion unlike most here.

Although I agree with all of your opinions here so far, but I'm sure when the time comes that I won't agree with you, I'll have a respectful argument

Appreciate that bro, much respect. Truthfully, it's not even worth keeping up, I was just having some fun with it lol.

I will say though, we have no idea what will happen with these guys. From the outside looking in, it can appear that one or both of them will have trouble down the line, but as a man I can only wish them the best.

Either way, we both follow them for what they can do in a ring. Both have way more money than most ever will, and are doing much better than I.

Which is the point I made. The DLH fight launched Manny to the top of the sport. And of course, regardless of how anyone feels about his opponents and stipulations, Manny has fought has ass off to protect his spot ever since. I don't see Ellerbe's comments as any slight to Pacquiao.

I just get the feeling that anything not 100% pro-Manny is perceived as an attack and we get a ton of overly-defensive posters stirring up shyt. Haven't been here long so my apologies if I lumped you in with that crowd, but it was pretty much the same story over at Doghouse.

                • More BS from the #1 ***** and official Mayweather tip jocker Ellerbe himself. It's Manny's style that has helped his rise. I mean if Manny doesn't KO the guy, he fu*$s the guy's face up bad and if he doesn't its not from lack of effort. When was the last time Floyd went balls to the wall and tried to go get the KO for his fans or really F-up the other guy. Outpointing guys is cool and I aint trying to knock the man's hustle but come one? This is boxing!!!! In baseball they want the homerun, in football they want the 80 yard bomb, and in boxing they want the KO!!! Period its not rocket science. Manny's rise has came from being the little guy trying to Knock a MFer out and Floyd's has came from the skilled guy playing it safe and not going for the KO. Even my ***** cousin would admit that one and he has the ***** Disease bad....
