I, in fact, ignore both title defences and paper titles. Theyre both ******, hyped up numbers that mean nothing.

the people they beat and when and how is what matters.
Tell that to *******s. They won't agree with you.

But yeah I do agree with you. It's not that I hate Manny, I think he's one of the greatest fighters of our era, but at the same time I think fighting and beating those "next big stars" is much better than beating a fighter on a downside based on a name.

Which is why I think Bernard is greater, the fact that he's also nearly in his 50s and still fighting those young stars and beating them.

I'm trying to have a decent conversation with you. You're not saying anything. All because I don't agree with your opinion, you immediately insult me. I was just responding to your argument. Which was "IT'S WHO YOU BEAT" yet you didn't take kindly to it.

well, lets not go as far to say hes nearly in his 50s. 5 years is a pretty big leap.

but I wholeheartedly agree that Hopkins has a strong case for being considered over Pacquiao, its just that theres too much hype around for him right now.
Once he leaves his prime and loses again, most people will be able to rate him fairly.

people dont want to admit it, but seeing a boxer get KOed(despite being past their prime) or lose embarressingly still brings their overall assessment of that fighter down.

The klitschkos keep fighting the "next big stars" but you dont see them being outly praised

          You know why?

Because beating Cotto After Clottey>>>>beating todays Berto

But according to you Berto is a better win

You're acting like a little kid, taking my quote literally,

You know when i said "who you beat", there are a million different circumstances surrounding that win

But you immediatly did that childish crap with the Ali nonsense

Why do you keep bringing up the Klitschkos? I already said I think both of them are fantastic heavyweights. It's not there fault there are no good challengers, the fact that they dominate a whole division for several years and fought all challengers is good enough for me.

I do think beating Cotto is a good win. I also think beating a young talented undefeated star with alot of hype around him in Berto is also greater win. I do indeed.

The problem with Cotto is a special case though, he got beat down to the point where he mentally quit. I don't know about you but Cotto hasn't looked the same since. He's still a great fighter, but it's like taking sloppy seconds. The damage has been done in a brutal way.

Berto is undefeated, talented, and has alot of hype around him. Similar to Jermain Taylor.

Cotto came off a brutal lost to Margarito and a gifted decision against Clottey.

                      Yes it would be better.
