Cotto's controversial win over Clottey is still better than Berto's controversial win over Collazo, and Cotto's line of work before the Margarito fight also speaks for him. not to mention since then hes won a decent victory over Foreman. not great...but at least as good as anything Berto has done in his career so far.

        Cotto then>Berto now.
But Berto is the next big thing, young and hungry

Doesnt that make him 10x better a win?

            Lol this is true

I just cannot understand how some people judge the quality of an opponent through things like that instead of their performence in the ring

Hopkins is old and a "Legend", but also a racist black supremacist (Ye they exist) who headbutts and holds his way to a "Schooling", he is regarded as the best Welterweight beater of all time.

Pacman is a manufactured puppet from Old man Arum who cherry picks Pacmans opponents against old shot weight drained big names.

              Mayweather wins.

Cotto was on the downside. Berto wasn't. That's the difference.

It's like saying Mosley who is on a downside somehow is a better win than Berto. Aren't you the guy that said Berto would be a better fight? I seem to remember that you and several others said this when the fight was announced.

well, it depends on the situation honestly. If Berto ended up KOing Mayweather or something immediately after losing to Pacquiao(hypothetically), then of course you would have to say that the Berto win was better than the Cotto win,

but thats a lot of ifs.

                  boxing is complicated.

Cotto is a special case, just like Taylor was. After getting knocked out the first time he was never the same.

Cotto got a good win in Foreman just like Taylor got a good win in Jeff Lacy. Look what happened to Taylor. Will the same thing happen to Cotto? Only time will time.

Cotto lost once, then won twice and a world title in the process. His win over Clottey basically *****s all over Bertos resume

Berto simply being young and hungry does not make him better, otherwise Jan Zaveck and Vyacheslav Senchenko would be better wins then Cotto

No i always said Mosley is a better fight but i would have prefered to see him face berto
