I really became infatuated with the PED stuff after watching that Icarus doc.
PED’s is what I do for a living mate, been involved with them for 40+ years.

Any questions or anything like that you can message me any time.

You're not being consistent here. You say the athletic requirements differ depending on the sport (which is true of course) but then disregard that when talking about boxing and MMA. Guys like Brock, Yoel Romero, Khabib, GSP, Fedor, Randleman etc etc couldnt box for **** but I dont think anyone would question their athleticism or fighting ability.

FWIW I do think boxers are still better athletes on average. Bigger talent pool etc.
Ah, but my statement spoke specifically to the assertion that MMA is syphoning talent away from Boxing.
Ergo, those in MMA from an accomplished grappling base don't factor. Full circle. Good post.

I think saying its siphoning talent away is a bit extreme but i'm sure there are a fair few MMA guys who would have gone to boxing instead if MMA didnt exist, and vice versa. Doubt it would be a big enough difference (the MMA to boxing direction anyway) to really change the outlook of things though, maybe a few hundred extra pro boxers in a pool of 20k+. Not sure it really qualifies as siphoning.

            That's ridiculous.

If that were the case, everybody would be Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Brock Lesnar, Jon Jones, etc. . .

There's a reason freaks are freaks.

No, it’s not. Actually something very simple to under stand when you have the first clue about PED’s, which, you do not.

It’s something that’s a commonly known as “science”.

Firstly, Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones are proven PED users, so there goes that one.

Secondly, if a genetic freak uses PED’s, like the athletes you have named, they are going to respond better to PED’s than someone with inferior genetics.

That doesn’t change the fact, though, that PED use is going to maximise your genetic capabilities to a point that is now unnatural. So someone like Roy Jones, who is already genetically gifted, is now going to become a genetic freak of nature with added PED use.

It is quite LITERALLY the exact thing that they do to the human body.

Then again, we all agree that damn near everybody is on PEDs these days, so where are all the Jon Jones, Brock Lesnars, and Roy Jones Jr.s?

They were freaks of nature BEFORE they used PEDs.

Hell, Roy Jones just got caught with some Ripped Fuel

I used to buy that from GNC & let me tell you, I"m not Roy Jones Jr. athletically.

Right, because people respond to PED's differently.

So someone like Roy Jones, Brock Lesnar, or Jon Jones, three people who are already genetically gifted, with the assistance of PED's will then become "genetic freak's of nature".

The literal exact purpose of PED's. It's what they are designed to do.

So, like I said, they were already "freaks of nature"

                      Ok but that's irrelevant.

They are genetically gifted, added PED assistance is what makes them freaks of nature. That's the literal purpose of PED's.
