Again depends on how you view it. I'm biased but my view, having taught kids from Oakland and seeing how screwed up the area is, someone like Ward repping the area and standing up for it is Noble. Oakland is a short hop of a flight from Las Vegas. It has a major Airport there are hotels...it's a good as Vegas, the coliseum rocks... there isn't really a home team in boxing.
Who had the better career Golovkin or Ward?

GGG's peak achievement is stopping the worst middleweight champion in recent memory, Lemiux.
He only unified because 2 boxing bodies gave him a title without him throwing a punch. We dont even know if hes capable of unifying in the ring.
This is not even a question.

On paper it’s Ward for sure but if you view things correctly and if things were judged correctly then GGG would have a win and a draw in his 2 match series vs Canelo and Ward would have a loss in the first Kova fight then GGG would have the better career over WardComment

Except the history books will remember that GGG went 0-1-1 with Canelo and Ward has 2 wins over Kovalev…even subtracting Kovalev…Ward’s run at 168 was better than ggg’s careerComment

GGG. He arguably beat Canelo 2X, tied the title defense record with Hopkins. He also earned way more money than Ward. Talk to us about Ward's best PPV numbers...160K buys, versus 1.3 million buys for GGG/Canelo I. Ward fought a weight drained Dawson, and got a gift in the first Kovalev fight. He was a boring, dirty fighter who couldn't sell.Comment

Yes the history books will say that but hey are wrong.
you, me and everyone else saw GGG and Kovalev get robbed blind in their first fights vs Canelo and WardComment

I'm gonna go with Ward. He fought more legit opponents, moved up in weight and continued winning against the best.
Nothing to take away from GGG. He is still an immense boxer and impressive boxer to me but his best opponent, he took a Drawn and Loss. (though I argued he won the first fight)
Ward career > GGG careerComment

I guess you can argue that.
But if Ward takes an L, does he continue fighting to this day? To take an L and win. While GGG takes a W over Canelo. Does GGG move up and Ward meet him in the middle?
A lot of things potentially change with that timeline so to speak.Comment

GGG did well to defend the only title he won from someone 5 times, but there is only 2 credible defences on it. That cannot be debated against someone like Ward.
You need to compare him with someone else who made a few defences and then lost his title eg Caleb Plant.Comment
