You guys just seem to have an issue with analyzing fighters without feelings involved. But, you can be superfans, the world has plenty of those too.[/QUOTE]

The only one showing estrogen like feelings here is you guy. Trying to compare Murray, Lemieux or even Brook to someone like Dawson is ridiculous. He might have come down a weight class but he was still the bigger fighter unlike Brook who had to go up two weight classes and was the smaller fighter. Big difference but obviously you won't see it that way, I wonder why?

You want to "analyze" things let's see. You claim that Ward had closer fights than GGG. The only close fight Ward has had his entire career was the first fight with Kovalev, other than that all his wins weren't controversial like the GGG/Jacobs/Deverenchenko fights. No one had Froch or Kessler that close of a fight, not close enough to call it a robbery. Now on the other hand plenty of people had Jacob's and Chenko winning those fights. But let me guess? Everyone who had those fights close enough either aren't as smart as you or are fanboys right? Common tell us how you and Atlas are the smartest ones around

? Dawson was drained 7 pounds man. That's not really a win to rate buddy. As I said, I would rate Ward's competition, man for man, slightly higher at the top than GGG's. But GGG also faced his guys in neutral or away sites virtually every time. Ward was at home every time. And decent person would factor that stuff in. GGG also faced more solid guys than Ward, he had more fights where he could have slipped up, and dominated all of those guys.

If you're drained, it's not an advantage is it. Brook was at a disadvantage with the weight, but he was at home. Dawson was at a disadvantage at the weight, and was away. I honestly don't know who was more compromised by the weight relatively speaking. 2 weight classes was obviously too much for Brook with GGG, but 7 pounds down and Dawson was a shell of himself.

I disagree with your comments in the 2nd paragraph. I only saw one close fight for GGG - vs Sergei. I saw a lot of close fights for Ward. I'm not sure how anyone who actually watched and scored his fights could say otherwise tbh. I don't give every close round to one guy though. I try to split those. And Ward frequently had close rounds in most of the fights of his I saw.

It's odd honestly to see people so touchy about a different opinion of a fighter. What it does, it exposes you guys as not being real boxing analysts. You are just emotional fanboys who want desired results and try to do anything in your head to get there.

If you weren't, you would just say 'OK, I see it differently than you' - and that's how I feel when I read your guys' comments. I just disagree. All there is to it. I've watched a lot of fights and fighters and feel GGG was a special one, and Ward was very protected. He was a tough, smart fighter though. I always give him that.

Man, all I can say, is if GGG drained, let's say Froch, 8 pounds and made him come to 160. And the fight was in GGG's hometown, and GGG won in the same fashion as what Ward did vs Dawson, I would look at that win the same way I look at Ward's with Dawson - it would be a 'well, that's not really that impressive is it?'

But it seems hard for a lot of people on Ward's side to be objective with stuff like that.
