Who had the better career Golovkin or Ward?

Let's see:
Fighter A fought and clearly beat everyone in his division and also went up to fight the number one fighter at a higher weight. He did duck Bute before going up in weight for whatever reason to be clear
Fighter B sat on a dead division and when he finally decided to step up his competition he barely squeaked out a win against a borderline A- fighter ( more like a B+). After that he got his wish aka payday and came in as the favorite again to win and was also expected to knock out the smaller fighter and instead he goes life and death again and the "Bogeyman" all of a sudden got "old". The second time he fought the same fighter he got the "Mexican" beat out of him and after the fight ended he pulls a Broner leaving the ring without staying for an interview. That pretty much killed all the hype he had around him and is now back to fighting no hopers in another country. Poor guy couldn't get the job done and now all his fans are left with are moral victories (but Atlas said he won doe). That's not even bringing up how fighter B ducked fighter AComment

I’d say Ward especially since Golovkin hasn’t don’t crap besides beg for Canelo. I do give him at least the first Canelo fight as a win which would be the best win between them but not much else there. He could’ve fought Boo Boo, Charlo, or moved up but Canelo has been the once collecting all the scalps.Comment

Who bats home team in Vegas? Rolly? I don't know what bone you are picking... Oakland is an international destination that is actually in proximity to Vegas. People who gamble and watch the fights would have little problem taking a flight less than two hours to get back and fourth. I mean if Ward was repping Tuskaloga Alabama, I would have a little more sympathy for the argument that this is a bit off the stretch so to speak...
By the way Progras does the same thing a la New Orleans... The weather can suck in Nah Orleans but the food is divine, there are plenty of great music hang outs... Its not the worse place to go to watch a fight.
Am I missing something? Or do you believe that Las Vegas has the right to all fight revenues? And BTW fighters often don't win at home lol. Just something else to consider... except Sven Ottke.Comment

I kind of view Ward in a similar vein to Ottke to be honest. Just very protected, never traveled. Guys win at home all the time man, don't give me that.

I don't mind a guy fighting at home, and taking care of his community. But, you also have to factor that in as far as how much risk a guy is taking, and how much credit you should give them.
If GGG was grinding out ugly, controversial decisions in BFE Kazkakstan, I would have the same exact opinion of him as well. When you win controversially, consistently, and are always the home fighter, it is very fair to judge a guy for that.Comment

"Home" for Ottke was Germany. I do think that internationally there might be an advantage to home court... probably because of the judges. But your overthinking the advantage nationally... Most fighters in the United States fight out of Las Vegas. Thats where the venues are so it makes sense. There is no real way for a fighter to gain fans from his home area... If I am from Brooklyn, my fans come out to Vegas.

yes because Ward beating the best fighters in his division isn’t enough, he needs to beat them on their territory …dog that is so ridiculous…Ward beat a list of names does it really matter where the fight was? The only gift you can claim is the first Kov fight and he rematched him and beat him….A lot of people felt GGG got a gift in the Derevyanchenko fight..
the attempt to try and downplay Ward is ridiculousComment
