Plant gonna be a skewered roasted patootie.
The more I see Plant the more I think he probably outboxes Canelo

Well, let me tell you: even if it went exactly as most of us predicted, Plant fought an excellent fight. I had it way closer than the judges saw it until the 11th. Caleb showed that he belongs in top fights for sure, and gained additional respect from me.Outside of a freak injury he isn't stopping Canelo.
Can he get a fair shake? I highly doubt it.
But for the record, for bragging rights I'll go out on a limb and say I pick him to outbox Canelo and quite surprisingly comfortably. It'll be competitive I'm certain but I feel Plant will be a clear winner in most peoples eyes just probably not the judges.Comment

He outboxed Canelo in spots. Was a competitive fight until the stoppage. Canelos superior firepower was just too much.
Canelo is very much beatable. Remember most thought he was beaten in the first GGG and many believed he lost the rematch.
Question is who at around the weight can do it.Comment

plant wasnt skilled enough to both cover defense and counter at the same time, he had to pick one and he picked to survive.
In the early rounds he tried to show off once with winding up his right hand feinting it and then shooting a jab real quick, prob practiced that move in the mirror thinking it would look cool, canelo just backed up and caught the jab with his guard. plant looked really ****** thinking that would work on canelo and knew he was in for it at that point.
Plant would have lasted the distance if canelo didnt specifically keep pressing for the KO all night. He did block, catch or roll with a lot of shots so it was hard for canelo to catch him clean with a big shot. but after he got broken down and tired that is when canelo got him with that huge hook that dropped him the first time to take him out.Comment

Cong**** King Canelo!
Good fight both fought very well actually and were effective with their strategies, good technical fight.
The end came a little abruptly, I was enjoying that and felt it was still very much intriguing with both guys looking tired in the championship rounds. Thought it was going to go the distance but Canelo did what Canelo do.
I like how Plant still had his faculties enough to try catch the uppercut but damn that really is becoming the money punch for Canelo, he anticipated it but still Canelo got through.
I wouldn't mind seeing Plant getting back into contention and working his way towards a rematch I'd be interested to see what adjustments both would bring for the rematch. An interesting clash of styles. Conclusive and no FOTY candidate or anything but I'd rather see them do it again than a lot of opponents potentially next for Canelo, they just don't intrigue me as much as two guys almost polar opposites in terms of style.
Wrong in my prediction but good to see Plant give it a great effort and Canelo showed his class over time.
What next for Canelo? Beterbiev or Bivol maybe? Benavidez? Latter would be fun while it lasted but I do think Benavidez is made for Canelo.
Bivol fight doesn't intrigue me as much as it used to, hopefully he was just a little rusty in his last showing but he didn't impress.Comment
