Who says it is going 12 rounds in either direction? Kotelnik has never faced a fighter as fast as Khan. And with Khan moving up to 140 his natural weight, he is going to carry more pop on his punches. Kotelnik could be stopped before he even gets a chance to land on Khan.

      Khan is a Bum!!!!!

Khan is just a chicken, why runnin away from LW division? Prescott, Valero maybe, u *****. This kid annoys me, he didn't even make a statement at 135, there's a lot of great fights that can be made at 135 and he just ran away. He doesn't deserves the respect of real boxing fans.

on paper Kotelnik should be Khan's biggest and most meaningful fight thus far

i guess i fall into the Khan detractor category but i like this match-up. would prefer it if there was no belt involved, but still

Prescott was and is essentially a no-mark with a punch and Barrera was a good few years past it and really should be retired, and then the circumstances in the fight took away the gloss of the victory anyway

Warren makes the matches, not Khan. Would you turn down the chance of fighting for a world title belt if your promoter handed it to you? Your hate just makes you look ridiculous.

Your obviously not a "real boxing fan"

Most of those names will no doubt be going up to Jnr Welterweight in these few years...you really think prescott will stay at lightweight? very very doubtful

In any case, Roach says Khan will probably move back down to Lightweight at some point, and that he still thinks Lightweight is his best weight. But he was offered a chance to fight for a belt in what Roach considered to be a winnable fight, and you can't blame him for taking it. I agree with S.G. though that it would be a much better match-up if it weren't for the belt, because I don't think Khan is ready to be fighting for belts yet, he needs more learning fights against tough competition with a variety of styles first; and I don't think he's ready to defend the belt, even if he can win it.

But the criticism for that should be levelled at Warren, not at Khan, who's only a 22 kid, and is obviously going to take the fights his promoter makes for him, especially if his trainer gives the green light, which Roach did.

I hope Khan smokes Kotelnik although it would be funny to see Khan get beat by the guy he called the worst champion ever.

he has done nothing but say the truth..who has he beaten to "deserve" all the attention?..he got ko'd and badly, then beats up an old,out of his weight class in barrera, and to top it off,it should have been a no decision and they "give him the victory" by waiting until the 5th and stop the fight, although it looks like he would have won, they did it the wrong way to avoid another delay for a title with a rematch if it would have been a draw or whatever...if khan loses to kotelnik, lol, imagine, losing to the worst champion..haha,,that would be so funny
