    Kotelnik is fairly stationary.

    Khan can potshot him.

Khan should not lose this fight at all.

It was Kotelnik who gave him the opportunity so if you think he was wrong to do so, why are you praising him? Talk about double standards!!!!

in the Barrera fight I saw signs of his style progressing from the exciting offense minded Khan that his fanbase love so much and into a more timid, defense based fighter. This will do him a world of good in terms of avoiding embarrassing first round KOs I'm sure, but his offense will suffer

in his haste to cover his chin after throwing and maintain lateral movement he's putting less force into his punches and is content to just pitty-patter on his opponent's gloves, not to mention he'll be fighting one weight division up hence forth which I would assume will only make his offense even less effective.

This is kind of a double edged sword, because on the down side he won't be overwhelming his opponents anymore and they might be able to walk through his punches to get to him. And they might more often get the full 12 rounds to try and tap that chin

Basically I think his days of being an exciting knock out artist are over but I don't know whether it's necessarily for the better, seeing as his offense was always his strongest point
He'll be a lot more cautious than he was, and won't throw wild flurries any more, and won't go for the knock-out unless he has broken his opponent down first; but IMO his style is still very exciting to watch.

Using the same cautious tactics as he used against Barrera, he got a quick KO against ***an, who while admittedly a journeyman, is normally a very durable journeyman, even against elite competition. So what you regard as "pitty pat" punches still have some force behind them.

He's being hyped just as much in the US media - The Ring had a gushing four page splash on him recently. And he does have a lot of talent, if you can't see that you're just a hater. Whether he can cut it at elite level or not remains to be seen, but the Kotelnik fight will be a good indicator.

I agree that some of the media praise has been ridiculous - on both sides of the pond - but that isn't his fault and is no reason to hate him.

Rubbish, he has frequently said he wants to rematch Prescott. But he does not make the matches, Warren does. And Kotelnik is a very tough fight for him at this stage in his career, and is probably the betting favourite to beat Khan. You're being blinded by your hate.

Wrong again buddy! If you look at the facts,it was Khans promoter that pushed for Khan to be named mandatory challenger after his bull**** gift over Barrera.Get it right before you come at me or my standards. And furthermore I dont't give a **** for Kotelnik, just hate seeing bull**** written about like everyone is privy to the behind the scenes action..Peace!!!

True, but I doubt Freddie will let him get over-confident.

He was not mandatory challenger for Kotelnik's Jnr Welterweight belt - Khan is not rated at Jnr Welterweight by any of the sanctioning bodies. It is a voluntary defence by Kotelnik, which he took because he was made a good purse offer. It's you who needs to check your facts before posting.

What Warren pushed for was for him to be made a mandatory challenger for the WBO Lightweight belt. What he's fighting for is the WBA Jnr Welterweight belt.

                      Actually Khan is the favorite.

That has more to do with British Fans betting more money than Kotelnik's fans.

Basically just another instance of a betting line being influenced by the irrational thoughts of British Fans (Huggers).
