I agree that some of the media praise has been ridiculous - on both sides of the pond - but that isn't his fault and is no reason to hate him.

The reality is that Gavin Rees had the 140lb title before Kotelnik and Warren was saving that title shot for Khan so he could get an easy win and an easy belt over another UK fighter.

However when Rees got KTFO by Kotelnik it ruined the plan but Warren has decided to still give the shot to Khan because it's is still by far the easiest belt to win from 130-160.

Basically just another instance of a betting line being influenced by the irrational thoughts of British Fans (Huggers).
                What about US betting odds?

This is a good step up fight for Amir. Kotelnik is next to Prescott (and maybe MAB) the toughest challenge for Khan to date. If Amir can keep his compusure and stick to the gameplan it could be an easy night for him. If he doesn't I can see him getting in trouble.

It is illegal to bet on Sports in the US unless you are in Vegas so we don't drive a line because we can't go down to the corner and bet.

It's obviously legal in the UK and you guys just love to bet your fighters irregardless of their chances.

There is no logical reason for Kotelnik to be the underdog to a guy fighting at 140 for the first time who was KTFO in under a minute by a nobody.

It was Kotelnik's decision to give Khan the shot, in a voluntary defence. Warren offered him a good payday but he couldn't force him to take the fight, Kotelnik just fancied the payday. And Kotelnik is a very good fighter. Although you're right that he's probably the weakest of the belt holders at his weight, it certainly won't be an easy fight for Khan, and if anything he's being rushed much too quickly, because even if he does manage to win, which is far from certain, he hasn't had enough meaningful fights under Roach to be ready to defend the title if he wins it.
