At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what Joe did, RJJ wasn't interested, rightly too in my opinion.
fight reasonably well known American names who know how to play the media.... Or fight some unknown guy from Wales with the charisma of a slug, a mediocre resume who's best names Joe Smo American has never heard of.
It's like asking the LA Lakers if they want to play the Plymouth Admirals, the Admirals are the UK Champions, have a bunch of Young Americans sent over by the NBA to get blooded and would give the Lakers a run for their money due to the hunger of beating the bigger team, they would probably lose but the lakers wouldn't enjoy it much and nobody would pay to watch it.Comment

It's quite clear BS is obsessed about Calzaghe, if you spend more than 10 minutes looking back at his posting history, and thread starting history a lot of it surrounds spending a lot of time being negative about the boxer that is, Calzaghe. It's a little sad but I let it ride. What I find most ridiculous about BS aside from spending all his time ranting about another man, he also claims to know all Calzaghe fans are just imbeciles, and I have an inherent hate for know it all generalising arrogance like that, because it's clearly untrue.
For eg, if Calzaghe was not 'deserving' of a fight in Roy's so called prime, then how comes Richard Hall got a shot? Did he deserve a shot over Joe? That is but one example.
Enemy/Friend - I didn't call you one single name pal, but I did point out some very dubious comments on your part, such as that of Tarver deserving a fight more partially because he was American, and not really listing anything as to why Calzaghe did or didn't deserve a fight. Using Tarver a guy whom did work hard for it, is hardly a fair benchmark considering you can also pick someone from the bottom of the list like I have. Landing fights in any given climate is more complex then that anyway.
I think Joe was deserving and would've been a great win for Roy back then over a couple of other opponents he did face. Joe has clearly and would've anyway become, a better fighter and name than Richard Hall, Otis Grant, Derek Harmon, or even Clinton Woods. Now we can play this game all day both guys have fought their fair share of considerably lesser opponents at times each other would have been a bigger and better fight, but that isn't always recognised, possible or done at the time, otherwise it'd be an ideal world. I think both guys would accept this now infact I'm sure they've said as much. They've both said they wanted eachother for years. I'm not going to enter into other stuff said, at the end of the day Joe himself has actually said this more emphatically and more often then anything to the slight contrary. Roy didn't take it up, and instead did some of the lesser names I've mentioned. Joe deserved a considerably smaller pot sure, but he deserved a shot as much as those guys, and clearly a lot more.Comment

BS, cant you just calm down for once... your a cooll dude i got no problem with you... but your way to aggressive, and its completely unnecessary... i agree with you on a lot of stuff you say... but the way you come across makes it hard people to debate with you... not because they don't have a resonable argument, just because of the in which you come at themComment

The first bolded point could be easily applied to you. It's quite clear BS is obsessed about Calzaghe, if you spend more than 10 minutes looking back at his posting history, and thread starting history a lot of it surrounds spending a lot of time being negative about the boxer that is, Calzaghe. It's a little sad but I let it ride. The second one underscores this point as if you must defend Joe's honor.
Come on, Kris. Buy a mirror.Comment
