But anyone understands styles... Pav, is a plodding one dimensional come forward fighter.
Actually it is credible. Hopkins is and has been losing stamina with age. That's how he has declined.

That's the entire crux of how he lost the Joe fight because of age argument.

It never came into play against Pavlik. Pavlik folding in round 3 like a lawn chair. I saw it up front ringside.

One a fighter quits, beating on his face and dancing around requires little stamina and you don't have to push yourself at all.

Yeah, I said right after the fight... God bless Bernard for the victory... but I think it had more to do with Pavlik doing absolutely nothing...

How do you think Pavlik will perform after that mental and physical beating he received?

I have no idea. 50/50 and I couldn't tell you.

If i had to hazard a guess, most fighters never recover from that.

So just guessing, he'll beat some clowns rise back up but never be quite the same as he might of been and possibly fall before he gets all the way to the top.

But occasionally there are exceptions: See Buster Douglas' history of quitting prior to Mike Tyson and even after Tyson.

It's like asking the LA Lakers if they want to play the Plymouth Admirals, the Admirals are the UK Champions, have a bunch of Young Americans sent over by the NBA to get blooded and would give the Lakers a run for their money due to the hunger of beating the bigger team, they would probably lose but the lakers wouldn't enjoy it much and nobody would pay to watch it.
OMG, I cannot believe you found an analogy so damn accurate. I couldn't have done it better myself. Well done. Green all the way, my friend.

I think he'll be better, but I'm worried about a fighters mentality being broken. And that's a bit different than the weight issue.

                    Decent analogy except for:

                    Lakers **** on the Admirals.

                    Kobe drops 50.

                    The end.

If he can recover from that he has some mental fortitude. Imagine if you were in his position and the media brainwashed you into thinking Bernard would be a walk in the park and then you get in the ring with an Executioner. The crazy thing Hopkins told everyone on the 24/7 series exactly what was going to happen. Richardson is a great trainer.
