There were tons of people who definably only picked Roy to win cause they hate Joe.

But using lets say Flawless to support your argument about if Roy was shot or not...well............

and again none of this matters. It's a logical fallacy that I see tons of Joe fans make constantly: because Roy fans hyped Roy before the fight therefore he was NOT shot.

Exactly. Tbh, even after the 1st round knockdown i knew Joe would still win.

For some reason, i still knew Roy would lose.

And theres clowns on here that dont believe in fighters having a prime. That CircleInsideBox does'nt believe fighters have primes and thinks that Roy's inactivity and shotness DID NOT play a part in his loss.

OK were getting somewhere BS, I can take your view on Roy being shot as your view, ok fair enough. What I and most would not be able to take, is your assertion that because that is your somewhat legimate view, that is should be EVERYONES.

There were a lot of people favouring Roy over Calzaghe like even David Haye and Hopkins. Now those guys aren't the best of judges, but not the worst either, and certainly not idiots. I'd love to see you call them that to their face though (kidding).

I wonder just how shot you really thought Hopkins was. I think in general you tend to exaggerate how shot your guy is to look better after wards. That's just my view, and that too is quite a legimitate one.

Did you expect Hopkins to defeat Pavlik, and in the way that he did?

Who were the idiots in the scenario, the ones thinking Hops would beat Joe, or the ones that thought he couldn't beat Pavlik? There's always an idiot right, and it's generally whomever disagree's with you to too much of a degree.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what Joe did, RJJ wasn't interested, rightly too in my opinion.

fight reasonably well known American names who know how to play the media.... Or fight some unknown guy from Wales with the charisma of a slug, a mediocre resume who's best names Joe Smo American has never heard of.

It's like asking the LA Lakers if they want to play the Plymouth Admirals, the Admirals are the UK Champions, have a bunch of Young Americans sent over by the NBA to get blooded and would give the Lakers a run for their money due to the hunger of beating the bigger team, they would probably lose but the lakers wouldn't enjoy it much and nobody would pay to watch it.

Especially when that unknown guy from Wales might give you more than you can handle. It wouldn't have been a smart choice for RJJ. We hear fighters say "I only want to fight the best!" Thats only until they make a name for themselves. After that, they say "I only want the BIGGEST fights". Joe was a lot of risk with almost no reward for Jones back in the day. It would have been a ****** decision to fight.
