He just said that The Ring, a respected authority on boxing knowledge has him at #3... and that is only gaging him against fighters who are currently fighting.

So people like Roberto Duran, Henry Armstrong, Tommy Hearns, Pernell Whitaker, Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson, Harry Greb, Jou Loius and Muhammad Ali are not included in that criteria that has him back at #3.

I would think that point is valid to the point that it deserves more of a response than... HATER! YOU HATE THE BRITISH!

That is pretty crazy talk considering the great fighters of the past. If you can't name 10 fighters that rate considerably higher than Joe on an all time p4p basis then you have some problems. Regardless of whether he beats Dawson or not.

Then, there's nothing Calzaghe can do to earn your respect. At some point the fighter's record has to come into play. An undefeated championship streak like Calzaghe's goes into the history books, whether you like him or not. Calzaghe equates with Marciano in alot of ways.

When did I say he hasn't earned my respect? Seriously dude you need to stop misinterpreting everything I say.

All I said was Calzaghe is not close to the top 10 greatest fighters in the history of the sport. 99% of members on this site would agree with me.

i don't think beating dawson would make him top 10 ATG... but going up to cruiser and beating haye might, since haye is the undisputed cruiser... but also going up to HW and whupping one of the klits would definitely put him in to top 10 ATG imho.
